Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of tax collection intensification and extensification parking to increase local revenue in the city of Surabaya. The research uses a quantitative approach with case studies. And the data used by this study is primary data obtained from distributing questionnaires to respondents or a parking attendant in one of the parks in the city of Surabaya with a total of 30 respondents (parking attendants). The data analysis technique used is Multiple Linear Analysis using the T-test, F-test, and the Coefficient of Determination with the help of SPSS. The research shows the results of the T-test hypothesis testing can be concluded that the intensification T-test is 3.340 > T-Table 2.045. So it was decided that Ho was rejected and Ha accepted. then intensification has a positive and significant effect on regional income. And for the extensification of the Value of 3,632 > 2,045, it is decided that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, then the extensification has a positive and significant effect on regional income

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is an effect of the manufacturing sector and the minimum wage on labor absorption in East Java Province in 2012-2018. This research data use secondary time series data from 2012-2018 obtained from the BPS and other related agencies. This type of research is quantitative. From the results of research that has been conducted by the author that the manufacturing industry sector has a partially significant positive effect on employment in East Java Province. The results of this study have a significance of 0,000 < 0,05 and the minimum wage has a partial negative effect on labor absorption in East Java Province. The results of this study have a significance value of 0,016 < 0,05. While the determination test has an effect of 99,5% of the independent variables and the remaining 0,005% of the variation the dependent variable is explained by variables outside the independent variables of this study. The conclusion in this study is that the manufacturing industry and the minimum wage together affect labor absorption in East Java Province. Suggestions were given to the Government to increase investment in the manufacturing sector, which absorbs a lot of labor and reduces the minimum wage level so that employment opportunities can increase.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of business capital, business location, length of business, and working hours on the income of fruit traders in the Traditional Market, Wonokromo District, Surabaya City. This research was quantitative. Using the statistical method used was multiple linear regression analysis. The author used the questionnaire and interview methods to collect data from 65 selected respondents, whose trading kiosk was located in the nearest traditional market to the Wonokromo Railway Station. The object of this research was the fruit traders at the Darmo Trade Center (DTC) Market, Mangga Dua, and Bendul Merisi. The variables of business capital, business location, length of business, and working hours have a simultaneous effect on the fruit traders’ income in the Traditional Market, Wonokromo District, Surabaya City. And partially on business capital, business location, length of business that influence and affect the fruit traders income and working hours which do not affect the income of fruit traders in the Traditional Market, Wonokromo District, Surabaya City
