<![CDATA[Pendidikan merupakan kata kunci pembangunan, melalui pembangunan pendidikan, proses pembangunan akan dapat berjalan dengan baik dan mencapai hasil yang diharapkan. Dari hasil penelitian Permadany (2016: 47) menyimpulkan bahwa, ada perbedaan hasil belajar mahasiswa berdasarkan asal sekolah menengah. Mahasiswa lulusan SMK mempunyai rata–rata nilai yang lebih baik daripada lulusan SMA pada mata kuliah teknik sipil (struktur) dan menggambar. Lulusan SMA mempunyai rata–rata nilai yang lebih baik pada mata kuliah praktik daripada lulusan SMK. Berdasarkan pemaparan di atas, maka dalam hal ini penulis tertarik untuk melakukan suatu penelitian dengan judul “Pemetaan Kemampuan Dasar Mahasiswa Prodi S-1 Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan Universitas Negeri Surabaya Lulusan Jenjang SMK dan SMA”. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pemetaan kemampuan dasar mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan Universitas Negeri Surabaya yang berasal dari SMK dan SMA. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa PTB FT Unesa. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 30 mahasiswa dari angkatan 2009, 30 mahasiswa dari angkatan 2010, 30 mahasiswa dari angkatan 2011, dan 30 mahasiswa dari angkatan 2012. Data yang diperoleh akan dianalisa menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan cara berpikir induktif dengan langkah pengumpulan data, olah data, reduksi data, dan penyajian data. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah dari hasil pemetaan analisis data pada mahasiswa asal sekolah SMK angkatan tahun 2009, 2010, 2011 dan 2012 lebih baik di mata kuliah kelompok teknik sipil (struktur) dan menggambar, namun tidak lebih baik pada mata kuliah kelompok kependidikan. Ditinjau dari hasil pemetaan analisis data pada mahasiswa asal sekolah SMA angkatan tahun 2009, 2010, 2011dan 2012 lebih baik di mata kuliah kelompok pendidikan, namun tidak lebih baik pada mata kuliah kelompok teknik sipil (struktur) dan menggambar. Based on explanation above , in this case the author is interested to do a study with the title " the mapping of basic skills s-1 college students building engineering education of surabaya university graduates levels SMK and SMA". The purpose of this research is to know the mapping of basic skills students Study Program Building Engineering Education State University Surabaya which comes from SMK and SMA. The type of research that is used is a descriptive research. The population in this research is a student of PTB FT Unesa. A sample of this research is 30 students from the host 2009, 30 students from the host 2010, 30 students from the generation of 2011, and 30 students from the host 2012. The Data obtained will be analyzed using descriptive method with inductive way of thinking with data collection steps, though data, data reduction and presentation of data. The research results obtained is from the results of the analysis of the mapping data on students from the school SMK host 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 better in courses civil engineering groups (structure) and drawing, but not better on courses educational groups.
