Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan deskripsi tentang proses pengembangan dan kualitas buku suplemen teks fabel berbasis bencmarking untuk kelas tujuh. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model penelitian 4-D Thigarajan, yang meliputi empat tahap, yaitu pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan (develop), dan penyebaran (disseminate). Dalam penelitian ini, tahap penyebaran tidak dilakukan karena tidak berkaitan langsung dengan bidang akademik. Tahap pendefinisian meliputi lima tahap, yaitu analisis ujung depan, analisis peserta didik, analisis tugas, analisis konsep, dan perumusan tujuan pembelajaran. Tahap perancangan meliputi dua tahap, yaitu pemilihan format buku suplemen dan desain awal buku suplemen. Tahap pengembangan terdiri atas tiga tahap, yaitu validasi, revisi, dan uji coba. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, kevalidan buku suplemen 86,6% Adapun keefektifan buku suplemen 87,75%. Sementara itu, kepraktisan buku suplemen 90,43%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dinyatakan bahwa buku suplemen teks fabel benchmarking layak digunakan. Kata Kunci: buku suplemen, teks fabel, benchmarking. Abstract The purpose of this research is to generate a description of the process and quality ofsupplement book of fabel text based on benchmarking for seven graders. This research using 4-D Thiagarajan. There are four stages development model, define, design, develop, and disseminate. However, in this research was only conducted in three stages, define, design, and develop. The stages of disseminate was not conducted because it is not directly related to the academic field. Define stages is measuured by five aspect, including point analysis, graders anaysis, work analysis, concept analysis, and formulation of learning purpose. Design stages is measured by two step, including selection of book form and first design of supplement book. Develop stages is measured by three aspect, including validity, effecteveness, and practically. Based on the research result, the validity of supplement book is 86,6%. The effectiveness of supplement book is 87,75%. However, the practically of supplement book is 90,43%. Based on research result, be avowed that supplement book of fabel text based on benchmarking is proper to used. Keywords: supplement book, fabel text,benchmarking.

Abstract

This study was conducted to assess the contribution of the REACT model in enhancing students’ critical thinking skills in learning about substances and their changes at a public junior high school in Serang City. A quantitative approach was employed, using a pretest–posttest control group design, where Class VII C served as the experimental group applying the REACT model, while Class VII A functioned as the control group using the PBL model. Data were collected through multiple instruments, including interviews, questionnaires, test documentation, and observations, and were subsequently analyzed using homogeneity and normality tests, followed by an independent sample t-test. The results indicated an increase in the experimental group’s posttest mean score to 78, outperforming the control group’s mean score of 66, with a significance value of 0.003, below the 0.05 threshold. These findings confirm that the implementation of the REACT model effectively enhances students’ critical thinking skills through the stages of Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, and Transferring. Therefore, the REACT model can be considered a viable alternative science teaching strategy that supports the development of students’ critical thinking abilities.

Abstract

This research is based on the low critical thinking skills of students and the limited use of interactive teaching materials in the learning process at school. Based on these conditions, interactive teaching materials based on Ethno-STEM were developed which function as learning support tools to support the critical thinking skills of junior high school students. This study aims to examine the level of validity and student responses to Ethno-STEM-based E-LKPD in the study of milkfish satay processing. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) by adopting the ADDIE model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research instrument consisted of a validation sheet filled out by experts and a student response questionnaire. The data obtained were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive techniques. The results showed that the developed E-LKPD obtained an average validity value of 91.5% with a "Very Valid" category based on the assessment of teaching material experts, material experts, and practitioners or junior high school science teachers. After going through the revision stage, the product was tested on a limited basis and received a positive response from students with a percentage of 86.8% in the "Good" category. Thus, the E-LKPD based on Ethno-STEM is suitable for use as a supporting teaching material in learning.
