<![CDATA[Abstrak Latar belakang penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas IV SDN Tambak Kemerakan Sidoarjo mengalami kesulitan dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPS. Penyebab permasalahan tersebut adalah guru menggunakan metode yang masih bersifat tradisional yang berpusat pada guru, materi yang disampaikan hanya sebatas pada buku pegangan tanpa ada sumber belajar yang terbaru, dan juga diduga pada proses belajar guru tidak menggunakan media pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu peneliti berupaya memecahkan permasalahan tersebut dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD. Dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peningkatan aktivitas guru, aktivitas siswa, dan hasil belajar siswa setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang menggunakan teknik analisis data deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Subjek penilitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Tambak Kemerakan Kecamatan Krian Kabupaten Sidoarjo yang berjumlah 25 siswa. Dilakukan melalui dua siklus dan setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan tes. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar aktivitas guru, lembar aktivitas siswa, dan lembar tes. Aktivitas guru mengalami peningkatan selama dua siklus, pada siklus I yaitu73,21% dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 87,52 %. Peningkatan juga terjadi pada aktivitas siswa, pada siklus I yaitu 71,42% dan pada siklus II 89,28%. Hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan pada siklus I hanya mencapai 32% dan pada siklus II mencapai 88%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa materi koperasi IPS di kelas IV SDN Tambak Kemerakan Sidoarjo Kata Kunci : hasil, belajar, model, pembelajaran STAD Abstract This research background is derived from the difficulty in the process for improving the result on social studies learning of fourth grade students SDN Tambak Kemerakan Sidoarjo. The cause of the problem is located on the teacher who still using a traditional learning method where the centre of information is mantained by the teacher and the materials that delivered to the student are originally taken from handbook without followed by the latest source and it is also assumed they are not using any media learning in the learning process. By utilizing a cooperative learning method type STAD in this research, the writer is trying to explain the problem in order to understand how far the improvement of teacher activities, student activities and also the result of the study can be obtained by using the learning method. This research is also use a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method which utilizing data anlysis technique of quantitative and qualitative descriptive. The subject of this research is fourth grade student SDN Tambak Kemerakan Krian, Sidoarjo with total amount of 25 students. The research is conducted in two phases and each of the phase consist of four stages; planning, fulfilment, observation, reflection. Data collection techniques of this research are using observation and test. The instruments of this research are using teacher activity’s sheet, student activity’s sheet and test sheet. The activities of the teacher indicate an improvement on its each phases where the first phase is confirmed at 73,21% and on the second phase is confirmed at 87,52%. It is also occured to the student’s activity where the first phase is confirmed at 71,42% and the second phase is confirmed at 89,28%. The result study of student shows an increasing on the first phase that confirmed at 32% and almost 88% on the second phase. The conclusion of this research is the implementation of learning method type STAD can improve the result of study for fourth grade student SDN Tambak Kemerakan Sidoarjo towards social studies learning.
