<![CDATA[Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi kemampuan siswa dalam menulis yang masih kurang memuaskan. Hal tersebut disebabkan oleh latihan menulis yang diberikan guru yang tergolong rendah. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pemberian tugas dalam pembelajaran menulis deskripsi di kelas III SDN Pranti Menganti. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Kuasi Eksperimen dengan desain pretest and posttest group. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yakni tes dan observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa, serta menggunakan uji t-test untuk mengalisis datanya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil rata-rata nilai pretest adalah 8,2 dan rata-rata nilai posttest yakni 70,3. Dari hasil uji t-test diketahui bahwa harga thitung lebih besar daripada ttabel yaitu 21,4 > 2,048. Hasil observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa juga menunjukkan hasil dengan kategori yang sangat baik. Semua hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pemberian tugas efektif dalam pembelajaran menulis deskripsi di kelas III SDN Pranti Menganti Gresik. It caused by the writing practice that has given by the teacher are quite less.Therefore, this research is done by the purpose to determine the effectiveness of giving task in writing learning in third grade at Pranti Menganti elementary school. The kind of this research is quasi experimental by using pretest and post test group design. Data collection technique is by using test and observation of teacher and students activities, and using t-test for analyzing the data. The result of this research shows that the average of pretest score is 8,2 and the average of post test score is 70,3. From t-test results, it shows that the value of thitung is greater than the value of the ttabel that is 21,4 > 2,048. The observation results of teacher and students activities are also shows results which in very good category.
