Abstract

Abstrak Latar belakang penelitian ini yaitu rendahnya hasil belajar siswa dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA khususnya pada siswa kelas IV SDN Krembung I Sidoarjo. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, hasil belajar siswa, keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa, dan respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran IPA dengan penerapan pendekatan CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning). Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Krembung I Sidoarjo. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, observasi dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlaksanaan pembelajaran pada proses kegiatan belajar mengajar menggunakan pendekatan CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) 100% terlaksana dengan nilai rata-rata dari masing-masing pertemuan sebesar 3,77 dengan kategori sangat baik. Uji beda nilai gain pretes dan postes hasil belajar kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen diperoleh nilai thitung 3,196 > ttabel 2,04. Uji beda nilai gain pretes dan postes keterampilan berpikir kritis kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen diperoleh nilai thitung 5,651 > ttabel 2,04. Siswa kelas IV SDN Krembung I Sidoarjo memberikan respon yang baik terhadap penggunaan pendekatan CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning). Kata Kunci: Pendekatan CTL, Pembelajaran IPA, Hasil Belajar dan Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis.   Abstract The background of this research is the lack of students learning outcomes, critical thinking skills of the student in science subject, especially in fourth grade of State Elementary School of Krembung I Sidoarjo. The purpose of this research is to describe the feasibility of learning, students learning outcomes, students critical thinking skills and students response to science studies learning with using Contextual Teaching and Learning approach. This research uses quantitative research with quasi experimental methods. The research design used nonequivalent pretest posttest control group design. The sample of this research is fourth grade students of State Elementary School of Krembung I Sidoarjo. The techniques of data collection using test, observation and questionnaires. The results showed that the feasibility of learning on the learning process using Contextual Teaching and Learning approach is 100% done with the average value of each of the meetings is 3.77 with the very good category. T-test gain values ??of pretest and posttest between control class and experiment class of learning outcomes obtained tcount 3,196> ttable 2,04. T-test gain values ??of pretest and posttest between control class and experiment class of critical thinking skill obtained tcount 5,651> ttable 2,04. Fourth grade students of State Elementary School of Krembung I Sidoarjo gave a good response to the use of Contextual Teaching and Learning approach.  Keywords: Contextual Teaching and Learning approach, Learning of Science, Learning Outcomes and Critical Thinking Skills.
