Abstract

Sufi Orders played a significant role in the religious, moral and spiritual development of people. Particularly, Naqshbandi Sufi Order gained distinguished fame around the globe due to its complete compatibility with Quran and Sunnah and abstain from invented heresies. One of the prominent Sufi Masters of Naqshband “Sheiek Abdul Khaliq al-Ghujdawani” introduced eight principles for spiritual enhancement. Shah Baha-ud-Din Naqshband added three more principles which were being recognized “Principles of Naqshbandi Sufi Order”. This research paper was designed to explore the effectiveness of these three of its eleven basic principles: Temporal pause (وقوف زمانى), Numerical pause (وقوف عددى), and Heart pause (وقوف قلبى). Qualitative and descriptive research approach was employed in this research for the analysis of data. For clear and better understanding, the article was divided into three sections. The first section gave a brief introduction to famous orders of Sufism, Second explained the Principles of Naqshbandi Sufi order formed by Sheikh Abdul Khaliq Gujdwani, Third looked into addendum of Hazrat Baha-ud-Din in the Naqshbandi principles and explored its effectiveness in psychological and spiritual advancement. The systematic review of literature concluded that these principles played a significant role in psychological, ethical and spiritual enhancement. On one hand they made a strong link between man and Allah in terms of Tawheed, love, and unshakeable trust while on the other hand, provided an opportunity of self-purification from wrong emotions, desires and sinful inclination which ultimately led towards good morals as well as promotion of social peace. It is therefore suggested that religious scholars in general, and Masters of Naqshbandi Sufi order should strictly advise their followers to follow these principles in order to get psychological and spiritual benefits.

Abstract

Abstract This paper is an attempt to explore the nature of the relationship between teachers and students in Islamic history of education. The research was triggered as a result of investigation that highlighted disappointing teacher-student relationship in contemporary education system. By employing descriptive and qualitative research method the study established that teacher-student relationship had been given an astonishing milieu in Islamic history and was considered one of the core causes for education par excellence. This relationship was based on care, sympathy, mutual understanding, cooperation and common respect. It was concluded that this healthy relationship enhanced class participation, confidence, critical thinking, research and oral communication skills including in areas of interpersonal skills and personality development of the students. The research, therefore, recommends establishing healthy relationship among students and teachers by captivating direction from Islamic history of education since it is perceived not only to improve quality of education but also to equip learners with additional competencies.   Abstrak Artikel ini adalah sebuah percobaan untuk meneliti hakikat hubungan antara guru dan siswa dalam sejarah pendidikan Islam. Penelitian dipicu sebagai hasil dari investigasi yang mengarisbawahi hubungan buruk antara guru dan siswa dalam sistem pendidikan yang kontemporer. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dan qualitatif, studi membentuk bahwa hubungan guru-siswa sudah diberikan lingkungan pergaulan yang mengherankan dalam sejarah Islam dan dianggap salah satu akar penyebab persamaan mutu pendidikan. Hubungan ini terbangun atas dasar perhatian, simpati, saling memahami, kerjasama dan menghormati. Hal tersebut disimpulkan bahwa hubungan yang sehat ini meningkatkan partisipasi kelas, kepercayadirian, berpikir kritis, penelitian dan kemampuan komunikasi secara lisan termasuk dalam ranah kemampuan interpersonal dan pengembangan diri siswa. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini merekomendasikan untuk membangun hubungan yang sehat antara siswa dan guru dengan mengarahkan arahan dari sejarah pendidikan Islam karena dianggap tidak hanya untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan, tetapi juga untuk membekali siswa dengan kompetensi tambahan.   How to Cite : Zulqarnain, M. Abstract

This study uses an empirical approach to examine the relationship between different Leadership styles and employee Performance in the microfinance banking sector. Here, we look at how seven distinct leadership styles (autocratic, democratic, laissez-faire, transformational, transactional, charismatic, servant, and situational leadership) affect employee performance in the workplace. With this information, executives can make better decisions that will help their organizations advance. The study is cross-sectional, meaning that data was collected at a particular, predefined point in time. Eleven microfinance institutions are spread out over Pakistan; from those, 192 participants are selected randomly to participate in the study. Data is collected through a self-administered questionnaire. Data are subjected to correlation and regression analysis and other descriptive and inferential statistical tests using IBM SPSS and Smart PLS 4. According to the results, CEOs in the microfinance banking sector would do well to embrace a situational leadership style like charismatic, democratic, servant, or transformational leadership. Employee leadership, Performance, workplace satisfaction, and organizational loyalty all improve when managers adopt these practices. However, research finds no correlation between autocratic, laissez-faire, or transactional leadership and employee performance, suggesting that these styles may be less successful at motivating employees. However, all other leadership styles benefit every organization in improving employee performance, especially in the banking sector.

Abstract

The field of fruit classification in computer and machine vision is growing rapidly. However, numerous deep learning approaches have been introduced for image classification, but they often encounter challenges that must be addressed. The effectiveness of the classification system relies on several factors and the selection of relevant features. In this paper, we propose an innovative hybrid deep learning framework integrating Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), Recurrent Neural Network (RNN), and Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) to classify fruit images accurately. The extraction and selection of optimal features are the key to achieving high classification accuracy. To achieve this, we leverage the power of CNN, RNN, and GRU, which are jointly employed in the automatic fruit classification process. The CNN was applied to extract spatial features from images. Then, an RNN was utilized to identify the most discriminative features, and finally, GRU performed final classification using the refined feature set from both CNN and RNN. Moreover, hyperparameters of the proposed model are optimized using TLBO-MCET. Empirical evaluations highlight the proposed method’s superiority over traditional methods such as Support Vector Machine (SVM), Feed-forward Neural Network (FFNN), and Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) for fruit classification tasks. The accuracy rate of the proposed technique surpasses that of SVM, FFNN, ANFIS, and CNN-LSTM. The results of the experiment showed that the developed model achieved an accuracy of 97.35%, F1-score of 94.91%, and Coefficient of Correlation (CoC) of 96.50 and RMSE of 11.50 respectively. Furthermore, the proposed approach contains relatively high computational momentum that will be further enhanced in the future.
