Abstract

Abstract This research aims to yield the social relation of Madura society in the anthology of short story Karapan Laut by Mahwi Air Tawar, covering (1) social relation of bhâlâ (companion), and (2) social relation of moso (opponent). Base on the purpose can be concluded the followings: (1) bhâlâ divided to become two, bhâlâ mata (only in vision) and bhâlâ atè (really companion), and (2) moso also divided two, moso dâlâm (relative) and moso lowar (others), besides, moso can be divided again become moso mata (visible) and moso atè (unvisible), also there is moso salaje (unilateral) and moso dukalaje (bilateral).

Abstract

This research is entitled "Analysis of the Use of Place and Time Deixis in Cinta Bertabur Di Langit Mekkah Novel by Roidah ". The problem of this research was how to use the place and time deixis in Cinta Bertabur Di Langit Mekkah Novel by Roidah? This research aimed to describe the use of deixis in Cinta Bertabur Di Langit Mekkah Novel by Roidah. The method used was the qualitative descriptive method. Data collection was done by reading the whole novel "Cinta Bertabur Di Langit Mekkah" repeatedly to identify the types of deixis contained in the novel, note-taking all the words or sentences related to the deixis in Cinta Bertabur Di Langit Mekkah novel, giving a sign (underlines) parts of words or sentences in novels related to types of deixis. Data analysis was done by identifying, classifying, analyzing, concluding the results of the analysis. Based on the results of the analysis above, it showed that in Cinta Bertabur Di Langit Mekkah novel, there are two types of deixis such as deixis of place and deixis of time. (1) the deixis of a place was divided into six parts, namely: there, here, there, there, here, and there. (2) deixis of time was divided into six parts, namely: earlier, now, now, yesterday, tonight and first.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the narrative components in the novels Haniyah dan Ala di Rumah Teteruga, namely narrative as an inherent or extensional component, a scalar or intentional component, a variable based on narrative type, and a mode among various modes. This research is included in qualitative research. Research data taken from the novel Haniyah dan Ala in Rumah Teteruga. The data is texts containing words, sentences, and paragraphs appropriate to the research problem. Data collection using library research. Data analysis uses descriptive analysis methods. The research results show that the novel has a whole narrative aspect. This is demonstrated by an inherent narrative, which shows cultural strength. Intentional narrative is indicated by the novel's sequentiality, eventfulness, reliability, and narrative competence. In variables based on narrative type, this novel shows a romantic, mystical style, but the dominant style is realist. Meanwhile, the novel genre includes historical novels. This novel is intense in portraiture mode, which reveals the story gradually.
