Abstract

This study aims to determine the pattern of segregation character soybean plant resistance to infection SMV and other agronomic characters as well as many genes that play a role in the inheritance of these traits in the F2 populations from crosses Taichung x Tanggamus follow of Mendel ratio or a modification of expectations and knowing the number of crosses. This research was conducted at the Laboratory LapanganTerpadu Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung from September 2013 until January 2014, and then continued in the laboratory observations Seed and Plant Breeding, University of Lampung. Propagation of virus carried in Kampung Baru, Bandar Lampung. This research uses experimental design without repetition with a single treatment design nested structured data is analyzed using the chi-square test for the suitability of the normal distribution and chi-squared test to test the of Mendel ratio and modifications . The results of this study indicate the character frequency distribution of plant height, grain weight per plant soybeans F2 generation from crosses Taichung x Tanggamus normal spread, while the frequency distribution for character flowering age, harvesting, healthy seed number per plant, number of productive branches, number of pods per plants and severity of disease spread is not normal. Estimates of the number of genes that control the character of harvesting is controlled by two genes are recessive epistasis duplicate the ratio 9: 7, days to flowering follow the ratio 1: 2: 1 which is controlled by a single gene that reacts not perfect, healthy character of the number of seeds per plant followed the ratio 3: 1 and for the total character of pods per plant, number of productive branches as well as the severity of the disease follows the ratio of 13: 3. the character dikendalikanolehdua genes dominant-recessive epistasis react. There are 21 numbers belonging expectations resistant to SMV. Keywords: Soybean, segregation, resistance characteristics, and SMV.

Abstract

Soybean consumption here in Indonesia continues to increase each year that is notaccompanied by an increase in soybean production. One way to increase soybeanproduction by using improved varieties. The purpose of this study were (1) Estimating thevalue of the diversity of phenotypes soy F6 generations from crosses between Wilis x Mlg2521,(2) Estimating the heritability estimates soybean F6 generations from crosses Wilis x Mlg2521,(3) Know the numbers expectation of F6 generation crosses Wilis x Mlg2521. The researchwas conducted from March 2014 until June 2014 at the Land Lab Lampung StatePolytechnic and observations made in Laboratory of Seed and Plant Breeding, University ofLampung. Soybean seeds used were F6 generation zuriat from Wilis x Mlg2521, Wilis andMlg2521. The treatment laid out in a randomized block design, 2 replications. The resultsshowed that (1) The diversity of phenotypes population F6 for characters date of flowering, harvesting age, plant height, number of productive branches, total number of pods plant, weight of 100 grains, grain weight plant and number of seeds plant including all the broadcriteria, (2) The value of heritability estimates the population F6 for characters date offlowering, harvesting age, plant height, number of productive branches, total number ofpods plant, weight of 100 grains, grain weight per plant and number of seeds plantbelonging to the high criteria, (3) Number expectations of the population F6 is 7-64-1-8 and7-64-1-3.Keywords: heritability, phenotypic variance, soybean

Abstract

Soybean is one of the crops that produce seeds with high protein content, as well as used by the inhabitants of Indonesia. Domestic soybean production can not meet the needs of the national soybean thus needs to be improved, one through breeding varieties with superior. One important step in plant breeding is the selection. To save time and costs of selection, it is necessary to determine the estimated correlation between characters  and to determine the causal relationship between characters used path analysis. Through path analysis can be seen directly and indirectly influence between variables forecaster with the response variable. The purpose of this study to obtain information (1) correlation between characters agronomic towards production. (2) direct and indirect effects of agronomic between characters towards production. The research was conducted from October 2013 until January 2014 in the integrated field laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung and observations made in Laboratory of Seed and Plant Breeding, University of Lampung. Soybean seeds used were  F5 generation zuriat from Wilis x Mlg 2521,  Willis and Mlg 2521. The treatment laid out in a randomized block design,  2 replications. The results showed that  there was a positive phenotype correlation between character of days to flowering, plant height, number of branches, number of pods, weight of 100 grains with grain weight per plant and there was no correlation between day to harvesting with the seed weight per plant. Direct selection of the most effective  was through the number of pods because number of  pods have a direct effect almost equivalent to the correlation. The relationship between the number of pods  and weight of seeds per plant explained a real relationship. Keywords: correlation, path analysis, selection, soybean

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the amount of genetic diversity and phenotype, heritability in a broad sense as well as the numbers of soybean expectations F5 generation from crosses Wilis × B3570 which has a middle value the better of both parents. The experimental design used randomized group design by three replications. Genotypes were tested as much as 25 genotypes. he results showed that the amount of genetic diversity of soybean agronomic characters F5 generation from crosses Wilis x B3570 found in almost all the characters except the characters age observed flowering and harvesting age. The genotype diversity found in all agronomic characters were observed. The magnitude of the high heritability values found in the character of a weight of 100 grains. Heritability values were on plant height, number of productive branches, and the total number of pods. Character weight of seeds per plant, flowering age, and time of harvest had the lowest heritability. Numbers expectation obtained by the genotypes number 163-1-4, 130-2-11, 130-2-11, 163-1-15, 102-3-2, 163-1-1, 140-1-15 , 163-1-6, 181-5-4, 140-1-2 are rated according to the weight of the weight of seeds per plant that would refer to the high production Kata kunci: variability and heritability, and Soybean

Abstract

The use of improved varieties is one determinant to obtain high production. Varieties assembly can be done through plant breeding program. One step in plant breeding is the selection. Selection in this study was done by comparing the results of crosses with parental. Of which were selected from crosses can be predicted genetic progress on the next generation. Genetic progress is one of the parameters determining the effectiveness of genetic selection. The experiments were conducted at Integrated Field Laboratory Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung Bandar Lampung. The experiments were conducted from November 2011 to April 2012. The main materials used, the F1 seed beans which is a hybrid between the Red and White x Black testa (AxB), testa Black x Red and White (BXA), testa Black x Brown (BxC), testa Brown x Red and White (CXA), Red and White parental seed testa (A), testa Black (B), and testa Brown (C). Treatment arranged in a randomized group design Perfect with 3 replications. Observed variables are: age flowering (HST), the age old harvest pods (HST), number of pods per plant lokul average distance (cm), total seed number, pod shape, and color pods. To form pods and pod color no statistical analysis. The results are: (1) the result of crosses that can be continued on the next generation of F1 from crosses A or B x C x A, and (2) genetic progress for variable flowering 0.7% (low), the age old harvest pods 1.38% (low) number of pods per plant was 52.35% (high) and the number of seeds per plant 43.31% (high).
