Abstract

This research aims to identify the causes, impacts and mitigation strategies for delays in multi-storey building construction projects. Construction project delays are a common problem that can result in increased costs, reduced reputation, and conflict between stakeholders. This study uses a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches, involving 100 respondents consisting of project managers, contractors, architects and other stakeholders, and analyzing data through questionnaire surveys, in-depth interviews and case studies. The research results identified five main causes of delays: ineffective planning and scheduling, lack of resources, design and specification changes, financial problems, and weather and field conditions. The impacts resulting from delays include increased project costs, decreased contractor reputation, and conflicts and disputes between related parties. Effective mitigation strategies include increased detail and realism in planning, use of technology such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) and cloud-based project management systems, proactive risk management, effective resource management, and regular training programs for the workforce. This research concludes that by implementing these strategies, delays in multi-storey building construction projects can be minimized, increase project efficiency, and ensure project completion according to the predetermined schedule and budget. These findings provide valuable insights for practitioners and academics in the field of construction management to overcome the problem of project delays. Abstract

Highways are one of the land transportation facilities that have an important role in human life, especially for economic and socio-cultural growth to support national development. To facilitate the mobility of the community so that they can provide good service according to the capacity needed, if there is damage to the road, it will hinder community activities, causing accidents. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of damage and the pavement index value of the Sungai Pua Kubang Putih road, so that it could compare the condition values of the Pua Kubang Putih road section based on two predetermined methods. The method used is the PCI (Pavement Condition Index) method and the Bina Marga method. Assessment of road conditions in the PCI method is by ranking from a value of 0-100 while the Bina Marga method is based on the order of priority of the road with a value range of 0-7. The types of damage found on the 2.2 km Pua Kubang Putih River road included holes, cracked blocks, cracked crocodile skin, and patches. In the PCI method the average value obtained is 68.63 which is a good road condition. In the Bina Marga method, a priority order value of 6.4 is obtained, meaning that the road is under periodic maintenance. After comparing the results of the research on the condition of the Sungai Pua Kubang Putih road section with the two methods, it turned out that the results and values were almost the same, namely the condition of the road section was still in good condition but required maintenance so as not to worsen road conditions.

Abstract

Parking facilities are inseparable in driving life. Parking facilities are a matter of considerable concern, especially when visiting places that are densely packed with visitors such as public service centers, for example the Lubuk Attitudeing Health Center. Puskesmas usually have a busy schedule of visitors at certain hours every day so that problems occur such as the lack of availability of parking areas. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to identify the availability of parking areas at the Lubuk Attitudeing Health Center by analyzing the characteristics and level of parking services at the health center, the characteristics analyzed are parking volume, parking accumulation, parking index, parking turnover rate, usage rate and parking capacity. From the results of research conducted for 5 working days, (July 15-19 2023) from 08.00-13.00 WIB (Puskesmas operational hours) and data processing was carried out, it can be concluded that: the largest number of vehicles that entered was 4 cars on Tuesday under 08:00 WIB and 17 motorcycles on Tuesday at 08.00-09.00 WIB, the largest accumulation was 6 cars on Monday and 27 motorbikes on Wednesday, the largest volume of parking for cars was 5 vehicles on Monday and motorcycles namely 33 vehicles on Wednesday, and the capacity of the parking area at the Lubuk Attitudeing Health Center is 7 SRP for cars and 52 SRP for motorcycles.

Abstract

The Lundar area, Panti sub-district, Pasaman Regency, the majority of the people are farmers, but in that area there are still many plots of community rice fields where the flow is not sufficient, so there are still plots of rice fields that are not drained by water. The purpose of this research is to make it easier for farmers to manage their rice fields in order to get good yields for the farmers around them. The planning used is the planning of primary irrigation channels and secondary irrigation channels. The research method uses the haspers and gumbel calculation method. From the results of the calculation of the dimensions of the canal planning, the results of the calculation of the primary channel planning where the Q value of 7.17 m³/s is greater than the Qmax value of 5.28 m³/s and the planning of the secondary channel where the Q value is 5.57 m³/s is greater than the Qmax value of 5.28 m³/d. From the results of calculations using the gumbel method for R 5TH is 428 mm and the results of calculations using the haspers method with a Q value of 5.48 m³/s. The results of data analysis and calculations can be used as a reference for related agencies such as the Irrigation Service, or other agencies.

Abstract

The problem faced by the Kamang Magek irrigation canal, Tilatang District, Kamang, Agam Regency, is that the availability of water for community needs is not sufficient, because the water discharge is insufficient for needs and the channel dimensions are inadequate to irrigate rice fields with a channel length of 295 m and the area of the rice fields covered. flow 28.58 ha. This research aims to find out the causes of the lack of water capacity for the community's rice fields, as well as find out how to solve the problem.the results of this research are expected to be useful, including: Find out the water flow in the secondary channel, plan the dimensions of the secondary channel. From the evaluation of irrigation canals in Kamang Magek, Tilatang Kamang District, Agam Regency, the following data was obtained: the condition of the secondary irrigation channel in the irrigation area is in accordance with the calculation plan, so it is concluded that the channel is unable to hold water when rainfall is high.channel dimensions obtained from field calculations: width of channel dimensions = 120 m,water surface height = 0.20 mGuard height = 1 m.Based on the calculation, the Qmax value is smaller than the planned Q, so the irrigation channel is unable to accommodate water discharge that is higher than the maximum rainfall data.channel dimensions obtained from planning calculations: Channel dimension width = 0.4 m,Guard height = 1 m,Water surface height = 1.5 m.So based on the calculation the Qmax value is greater than Qplan, from the rainfall analysis it is clear that channel planning with large dimensions can accommodate maximum rainfall.
