Abstract

This research was conducted in Indonesia and Turkey. The aims of this study is to analyse the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) of trade relations in, the industry attractiveness, trade potential, strategic orientation of the palm oil commodities traded between Turkey and Indonesia, and to analyse the industry competitive forces. This research use primary and secondary data, both of quantitative and qualitative ones. The primary data obtained from deep interview by purposive sampling, Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method by online and offline communication, and from experts acquisition. The secondary data obtained from UN Comrade, FAOSTAT, IMF, World Bank, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Agriculture and other relevant agencies. Descriptive data were analysed using the SWOT Matrix method, the SOR (Strategic Orientation) Matrix method, Strategic Position and Action Evaluation (SPACE), and the Porter’s Five Competitive Forces Matrix. Based on the diagram by the internal-external factor matrix, it is known that the condition of between Turkey and Indonesia were same condition on the Divest.

Abstract

One of the companies that produce black tea in Indonesia is PT ABC. In PT ABC, the processing system Orthodox Rotorvane produces black tea powder according to market demand, which has a small particle size (broken tea) and quick brewing by applying SNI 01-1902-2016 as a reference for production activities and monitoring the production process. This study contribution to investigate the quality of tea leaf shoots used as production raw materials, especially in the flow of raw material handling, the quality control of raw materials, and the value of the proportion of damage to raw materials. The method used is an analysis based on data Tops Not Eligible/Pucuk Tidak Memenuhi Syarat (PTMS) obtained from each plantation block. The output results obtained show that the value of the proportion of damage to raw materials is still within the control limits where there are only one of the six plantation blocks, namely the Kembang plantation block, produces a value of the proportion of damage outside the control limits with the main factors causing it from human factors, equipment, raw materials and working method used. This research contributes to knowing the value of the proportion of shoot damage for each plantation block at PT ABC.

Abstract

Ergonomics is important for sustainable development in many fields, including architecture, health, product design, safety, and workplace design. Ergonomic assessments are essential in the workplace to prevent musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). Currently, Indonesia has a standardized ergonomic assessment, SNI 9011:2021. This assessment standard is widely used to evaluate human posture. This study aims to evaluate the position of a traditional brick-maker in which the posture identification system is based on the SNI 9011:2021. This study employed a cross-sectional design with a sample of workers in conventional brick manufacturing. The primary findings of this study were visual ergonomic assessment for posture identification, identification of ergonomic assessment categories with high risk in brick manufacturing, and the prevalence of nagging pain among workers in the brick moulding and drying process. To reduce occupational ergonomic risk, particularly for brick-making workers, ergonomic intervention is required in the form of additional work aids such as chairs. This has been shown to reduce the evaluation score based on SNI 9011: 2021, thereby reducing the occurrence of musculoskeletal disorders
