Abstract

Physics is a subject that is difficult for students to learn and understand, especially at the high school level. This study identifies various factors contributing to students' difficulties teaching physics. This study used a qualitative method, with the object of research being 90 grade 12 students from five schools in the city of Mataram, namely MA Plus Nurul Islam Sekarbela, MAN 1 Mataram, MAN 2 Mataram, SMAN 1 Mataram, and SMAN 3 Mataram. The research data was collected using survey techniques, Google forms, and interview techniques and analyzed descriptively. Based on the research, it was found that almost 62% of students did not like learning physics. The wave and optical material group is the most challenging material for students to learn, with a percentage of 46%. Students ask their peers more frequently, 52%, based on their problem-solving abilities. In contrast, the form of description questions is the least popular question for students in the learning process, with a percentage value of 9%.

Abstract

Research has been done on thin films by mixing TiO2 with cobalt doping and adding HCI as a solar cell material. The aim of this research is to produce a thin layer that is good for use in solar cells. This research has several stages, namely: 1) weighing cobalt and titanium; 2) glass substrate preparation; 3) making a sol-gel solution; 4) thin layer deposition; and 5) heating the sample. From these several stages, the result was that a pure TiO2 solution without doping obtained a thick white solution, whereas the more doping used, the fainter the color of the solution obtained. The thin-layer synthesis process uses a spin-coating method assisted by a modified centrifuge to evenly distribute the sol-gel solution on the surface of the glass substrate

Abstract

One of the skills that are needed by students in current developments is 21st century skills, also known as 4C skills. This study aims to measure and describe the level of 4C skills possessed by students majoring in science at MA Plus Nurul Islam Sekarbela. The type of research used is descriptive-qualitative. The research subjects were all students majoring in science in grades 10–12, totaling 84 students. The research data was gathered using two methods: test questions for critical thinking and creative thinking, and observation sheets for collaboration and communication skills. All data obtained were analyzed descriptively and categorized based on the criteria of each 4C skill. Based on the research, it was found that communication skills were the skills with the highest score for students majoring in science at MA Plus Nurul Islam Sekarbela, with a score of 82.00, while creative thinking was the skill with the lowest score, with a score of 69.00.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Learning physics is of course a part of science and should be able to facilitate students to do lab sessions or experiments to prove the concepts learned. One of them relates to dynamic electricity at the secondary level. However, there are still many schools that do not have practical tools that can assist students in learning dynamic electricity equipment. Therefore, the writing of this article is to explain the process of making a simple KIT dynamic electrical circuit as the final product in the science practicum course. The process to create this KIT consists of three stages, namely preparation, implementation and testing. Based on the work carried out, this appears 1). The process of making a dynamic electrical circuit KIT is divided into two parts, namely making tool sets and storage boxes, and 2). Practical activities that can use this electrical circuit KIT include measuring the size of GGL on the battery, measuring the voltage and electrical current, as well as series and parallel circuits
