Abstract

Research on analysis Semi Parabolic Grid antenna 2.4 GHz for Wireless LAN networks motivated many ordinary people who do not understand about the use of wireless LAN technology. With this research are expected to help the public in the use of antennas and wireless networking technology Wireless LAN. This research can also be used to become reference in obtaining information about Wireless LAN antenna. This research methodology is experimental. The author made several steps of literature review studies, feasibility studies of site survey and documentation of site survey, analysis which includes analyzing the available networks and analyzes the use of the area and tower, installation, testing and implementation, evaluation, documentation and to compile the final project report book. The author also experienced some constraints in the research, such as distance between of antenna Grid with Access Point, which often have configuration error and the existence of of deficiencies found in antenna Grid that makes less link quality. There are several things that affect the quality of the signal emitted by Access Point include: distance and placement of Access Points and Grid antenna, the focal point and the point of the angle between the Grid antenna Access Point, the presence of barriers and the type of Access Point. Link budget and the fade margin is also very influential on the reliability of wireless links. Antenna Semi Parabolic Grid 2.4 GHz can be connected to the Access Point at certain distance with the signal strength is directly proportional to the distance.

Abstract

Academic information system of STMIK El Rahma College is a software which has function to make academic access activities easier. The system has no good quality yet. For example, several menus are unable to be opened.  Furthermore, the system has no error notification upon several menus. Hence testing software is necessitated to examine the reliability in operating of the system. McCall method has precision and detail which can be used to examine and assure the reliability of the academic information system of STMIK El Rahma. This research uses a testing procedure plan of software to obtain the reliability degree of the academic information system of STMIK El Rahma for SIMAK menu. The result of the reliability degree of the software is 49,29 %. It is obtained by several percentages such as 96% Accuracy, 0% Consistency, 62.96% Error Tolerance, 43,75% Modularity, and 43,75% Simplicity. The fivepercentages are divided by 5.

Abstract

A RAM or formerly known as a memory is a primary memory which helps swift data availability without waiting the whole data processed by the hard disk. A memory is also used by all installed applications including web browsers but there have been disappointed in cases of memory usages. Researchers use a descriptive quantitative approach with an observation, a central tendency and a dispersion method. There are 15 browsers chosen by random to be tested with low, medium and high loads to get their memory usage logs. Researchers proceed to analyze the log by using descriptive statistics to measure the central tendency and dispersion of data. A standard reference value from web application memory usage has been found as much as 393.38 MB. From that point, this research is successful and has been found the result. The web browser with the lowest memory usage is Flock with 134.67 MB and the web browser with the highest memory usage is Baidu with 699.66 MB.
