Abstract

Multivariate calibration model aims to predict the expensive measures obtained by using the measures of a cheap and easy. There are several problems that often occur in the model calibration, among others, and multikolinear. To overcome these problems we used partial least squares method (PLS). The study was conducted to apply the PLS method on the data gingerol. Based on research conducted with the two components of the model obtained with the diversity of variable Y at 83.8032% and the diversity of variable X equal to 100%, and obtained for R2 = 83.8% and RMSE = 0.100891 calibration data group and R2 = 84.2 % and RMSEP = 0.199939 for the validation data.

Abstract

Social experience refers to interactions and relationships that individuals have with others within their environments. According to researchers, higher levels of social experience can affect many aspects that an individual has, such as self-awareness, social skills, moral reasoning, intelligence, and emotional intelligence. Despite its importance, it is difficult to determine the valid and reliable measurement of social experience. The writer decided to create a survey as a measurement of social experience with 2 latent variables: self-efficacy and self-regulation to know the influence of both indicators on the measurement of social experience with 300 Bina Nusantara University students as its respondents. From the results of the survey, we conclude that verbal persuasion is the most impactful source from self-efficacy that influences social experience, while motivation is the most impactful source from self-regulation that influences social experience. All self-efficacy and self-regulation statements both are valid and reliable with convincing results. Although our results are convincing, it is essential to bear in mind that this study is not without limitations. These limitations include a limited sample size and the potential for biases in sampling and response due to the characteristics of our participants. Therefore, it is advisable for future research endeavors within this field to select participants from various universities and implement preliminary testing procedures to authenticate the survey.

Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (FER) in Indonesia is very concerning. According to BPS data, there are various regions that experience increases and decreases every year. The goal of this paper is to predict Farmer Exchange Rate in the food crop sector using Principal Component Regression (PCR) since there is multicollinearity in the data. Therefore, with the PCR method using data based on 33 different provinces in Indonesia can determine the Farmer Exchange Rate with supporting factors. The model used can help farmers to be able to improve the welfare and economic growth of Indonesia as it depends on farmers. Further analysis found that the Harvest Area, production, and Human Development Index had an effect on farmer exchange rate. By using this model, it is expected that farmers in Indonesia have an increasing level of welfare and solve multicollinearity problem.
