Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang penerapan teknik wawancara dalam storytelling. Masalah yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah kontribusi dari teknik wawancara dalam storytelling dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara dan menyimak para pemelajar bahasa Prancis. Penulis menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen untuk menganalisis data, menggunakan prates dan pascates serta kuesioner sebagai alat bantu. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi pemahaman lisan meningkat berkat skenario pemelajaran dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara dalam storyteling. Kemampuan berbicara dan menyimak mengalami progres yang baik setelah membandingkan hasil skor prates dan pascates. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data Penulis dapat menyimpulkan bahwa teknik wawancara dalam storytelling efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara dan menyimak pada pemelajar bahasa Prancis.

Abstract

This research talks about the application of interview technique in Storytelling. The problems discussed in this research are the effectiveness and the contribution of interview technique in Storytelling in improving students’ speaking and listening comprehension skills. We use the quasi-experimental method to analyze data, using the pre-test and post-test and questionnaire as the finding aid. The results of the data analysis shows that the oral comprehension competencies increase thanks to learning scenarios using interview technique in Storyteling. The ability to speak and listen experienced good progress after comparing the results of the pre-test and post-test scores. Based on the results of data analysis we can conclude that the interview technique in Storytelling is effective in improving the speaking and listening skills of French learners.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the morphological process of South Korean cosmetics brand names in French. The data of this study are South Korean cosmetic brand commonly found in shopping centers (malls) and online shopping applications (e-commerce). The instrument used in this study was the human instrument or the researcher himself based on the theory of word formation in French. The data is then collected, grouped and analyzed. The results showed that there were several brands of South Korean cosmetics in French that were circulating in the community. In writing South Korean cosmetics brands are vulnerable to brands that are not in accordance ortographic and grammar in French.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the hetero-stereotypes that appear in the film series "Emily in Paris" Season 1. The romantic comedy film series Emily in Paris Season 1 raises inaccurate cultural stereotypes about groups of French society who come from other social groups. Hetero-stereotype is a form of cultural stereotype. Hetero-stereotype refers to stereotypes that are held related to other groups. Hetero-stereotype refers to a group's perception of the traits, characteristics, or values of members of another group with a tendency to define other people as having rigid ethnic characteristics and generalize about other groups (Pastor: 2013). The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The findings of this research gave rise to 2 (two) forms of cultural stereotypes, namely positive and negative hetero-stereotypes.

Abstract

Abstract: This community service activity aimed to provide training to high school teachers on the application of eight interactive game techniques in foreign language classrooms. The methods used in this community service program were lectures and demonstrations. The games introduced included Whispering Game, Chair Game, Mime Game, Tap It! Game, Throw the Ball Game, Word Order Game, Speak Now! Game, and Tongue Twister. These game techniques were designed to be implemented in foreign language teaching, particularly in English, French, German, and Japanese classes, which are the foreign languages taught at STBA YAPARI. The teachers participating in this training came from various language teaching backgrounds, such as English, French, German, and Japanese. Through this training, participants learned how to use these games in classroom activities to create a more engaging and interactive learning environment, showing the relevance of these game techniques to foreign language teaching. After attending the training, the teachers felt more confident in applying innovative teaching methods in their respective language classes. This activity successfully equipped the teachers with practical skills to enhance student engagement and improve the overall learning experience in foreign language education. Keywords: Training; Community Service; Game Techniques; Teaching   Abstrak: Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada guru-guru SMA tentang penerapan delapan teknik permainan interaktif dalam kelas bahasa asing. Metode yang dilakukan pada kegiatan PkM ini adalah ceramah dan demonstrasi, Permainan yang diperkenalkan antara lain Whispering Game, Chair Game, Mime Game, Tap It! Game, Throw the Ball Game, Word Order Game, Speak Now! Game, dan Tongue Twister. Teknik-teknik permainan ini dirancang untuk dapat diterapkan dalam pengajaran bahasa asing, khususnya dalam kelas bahasa Inggris, Prancis, Jerman, dan Jepang, yang merupakan bahasa-bahasa asing yang diajarkan di STBA YAPARI. Guru-guru yang mengikuti pelatihan ini berasal dari berbagai latar belakang pengajaran bahasa, seperti bahasa Inggris, Prancis, Jerman, dan Jepang. Melalui pelatihan ini, hasilnya adalah peserta mempelajari cara menggunakan permainan-permainan tersebut dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas untuk menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih menarik dan interaktif adanya relevansi antara teknik permainan dengan pengajaran bahasa asing. Setelah mengikuti pelatihan, para guru merasa lebih percaya diri dalam menerapkan inovasi metode pengajaran di kelas bahasa mereka masing-masing. Kegiatan ini berhasil memberikan para guru keterampilan praktis untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan memperbaiki pengalaman belajar secara keseluruhan dalam pengajaran bahasa asing.
