Abstract

Creating an academic culture that is conducive to intellectual development, the character of the academic community and mathematics education staff is one of the missions of the Tadris Mathematics study program at UIN IB Padang. Therefore, the conditions of the lecture greatly determine the implementation of the mission of the Mathematics Tadris study program. To create optimal lecture conditions, it can be supported by the presence of teaching materials in lectures. Teaching materials that facilitate students in such a way as to create an attractive lecture atmosphere is one of the responsibilities of a lecturer. However, the reality is that in the field, the attractiveness of students in lectures is still low due to the unavailability of optimal teaching materials. Mathematics statistics is one of the most important subjects, meaning that it is very widely used when they have become teachers and assist in the making of final assignments. By providing teaching materials for this course which contains Islamic nuances, it aims to provide the characteristics of prospective teachers who graduate from UIN IB Padang. So the formulation of the problem in this research is how the process and results of the development of teaching materials for mathematics statistics courses based on practical problem solving and Islamic nuances in one-on-one evaluations.

Abstract

Many people ignore the pain that they are suffering from. This is due to the lack of understanding of the patient about the disease he is suffering from. One type of infectious disease that is often encountered in the community is Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). DHF is caused by dengue virus infection. The purpose of this study is to establish a mathematical model to determine the effect of vaccination on the spread of DHF. The method used is by using the Equilibrium Point with SIR. The effect of vaccination on the spread of DHF is fully determined by the basic reproduction number (R_0) is R0=(βμ(μ+σ)+θαμN)/(μ+γ)(μ+α)(μ+σ) . When R_0<1, the disease-free fixed point E0 will be asymptotically stable which means that the disease will not spread in the population or in other words, the disease will eventually disappear from the population within a year. long time. When R_0>1, the endemic point of Ee will be asymptotically stable which means that the disease will persist and spread in the population. In order for dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) to be prevented or eliminated for a long time, we need to reduce the basic reproduction number by increasing the chances of susceptible individuals being vaccinated.

Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to develop Canva-assisted Student Worksheets (LKPD) for eighth-grade students at MTsN 5 Padang City, focusing on enhancing their understanding of concepts in relations and functions. The research followed the Plomp model, involving three phases: initial investigation, prototype development, and evaluation. Questionnaires, interviews, and tests were used to measure validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Data analysis employed descriptive statistics. The results of the Canva-assisted LKPD development showed high validity, with a content, language, and presentation score of 93.02%. The LKPD also demonstrated practicality, achieving 87.77% and 89.39% scores from students' and teachers' perspectives, respectively. Factors like ease of use, time efficiency, attractiveness, comprehension, and alignment with the curriculum were considered. Additionally, the LKPD was effective, as 87.5% of students scored above the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) in concept comprehension tests. Utilizing Canva in LKPD development successfully created an engaging product that improved students' understanding of mathematical concepts in relations and functions. The data collection method supported these findings, indicating that Canva-assisted LKPD enhances students' comprehension. The test results revealed that 28 out of 32 students (87.5%) achieved scores above the KKM threshold, categorizing them as "highly successful." The validation of Canva-assisted LKPD confirmed high validity in terms of presentation, language, and media aspects. Overall, the LKPD was considered "highly practical" and had the potential to enhance motivation and the effectiveness of mathematics learning. Therefore, the utilization of Canva-assisted LKPD offers an effective alternative for improving students' understanding of mathematical concepts. Abstract

This study aims to develop lesson plans and handouts based on Guided Note Taking on Algebraic Operations material. This type of research is development research with a 4-D model proposed by S. Thiagarajaan (1974) which consists of four stages of development, namely definition, design, development and dissemination. The define stage consists of: a) educator analysis b) student analysis c) concept analysis d) curriculum/syllabus analysis and learning objectives. The design phase consists of: a) device design b) instrument design and validation of learning device assessment instruments. The develop stage consists of: a) validity stage b) practicality stage. The results of this study indicate that based on the assessment of 5 validators, the learning tool, namely the RPP developed, meets the criteria of being very valid with an average of 90% and the Handout meets the criteria of "very valid" with an average of 88%. Based on the results of filling out practicality questionnaires for educators, student response questionnaires and interviews with students, it shows that the Handout developed is very practical to use in learning mathematics in algebraic operations with an average of 90% by educators and 92% by students. Thus, it can be concluded that this research produces a mathematics learning device based on the Guided Note Taking approach with very valid and practical criteria.
