Abstract

 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan struktur dan makna onomatope yang terdapat dalam komik Baru Klinting karya Sapriandy. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian ini adalah kata-kata onomatope yang terdapat dalam panel-panel komik Baru Klinting karya Sapriandy. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode simak dan teknik catat. Adapun data dianalisis menggunakan metode padan (identitas) ekstralingual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa struktur onomatope yang terdapat pada komik Baru Klinting karya Sapriandy berjenis onomatope monosilabel, bisilabel, dan multisilabel. Selain itu, ditemukan pula beberapa makna onomatope, antara lain, penunjuk keadaan, perbuatan, pembentuk nama tiruan bunyi, dan pembentuk emosi tokoh.This study was aim to describe the structure and meaning of the onomatopoeia in the Baru Klinting comic by Sapriandy. This was qualitative descriptive research. The data of this research was the onomatopoeic words contained in the Baru Klinting comic by Sapriandy. Data collection methods used in this study were note-scanning and note-taking methods. The data were analyzed using the extralingual (identity) matching method. The results showed that the Baru Klinting comic by Sapriandy Klinting contained monosilabel, bisilabel, and multisilabel type of onomatopoeic. Furthermore, based on the meaning analysis there were onomatopoeic meanings of the state, the deeds, the names of sound imitations, and the characters' emotions.

Abstract

In the current era, numerous learning methods can be employed to enhance the effectiveness of learning. One such method is the peer tutor method, which has been widely utilized in language learning. This research focuses on the application of the peer tutor method as a solution for improving English language skills. The subjects of the study are students of UIN Walisongo who are members of the Walisongo English Club (WEC). The Student Activity Unit (UKM) Walisongo English Club (WEC) conducted this research to ascertain the impact of peer tutoring on the English language proficiency of Walisongo State Islamic University of Semarang students. This study employed a qualitative approach and utilized data collection techniques, including questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The results demonstrated that the implementation of the peer tutor method yielded numerous benefits for the WEC members, including enhanced English language proficiency, a more relaxed learning environment, and elevated self-assurance. Additionally, the method facilitated increased confidence in English communication. However, there were limitations due to the limited knowledge of the peer tutors. Nevertheless, it can be concluded that the peer tutor method is an effective solution for improving the English language skills of UIN Walisongo Semarang students.
