Abstract

In this study an analysis of the relationship between infiltration with cooling speed and analysis of the relationship between infiltration with energy savings in AC Inverters and Non-Inverter ACs. Data collected include time, door opening fully open, ¾, ½, and ¼, indoor temperature (TD), outdoor temperature (TL), current, voltage and power factor on AC Inverters and Non-Inverter ACs. From the temperatur data in space and time and door opening, infiltration and cooling speed are calculated. Data from current, voltage and power factor are then calculated energi. After infiltration, cooling speed and energy obtained from calculations, a simple linear regression analysis and Independent Sample T-Test analysis are performed. Regression analysis was performed to determine the relationship between infiltration and cooling speed. The relationship between infiltration and energi savings, this analysis is carried out in a room that uses AC Inverter and AC Non Inverter. After that the analysis of the Independent Sample T-Test between the energi consumption of AC Inverters and AC Non Inverters. In addition to analysis with software, calculations are also carried out so that energi consumption can be known to save AC Inverter after that, then conclusions can be drawn.

Abstract

Research on the competencies needed by fishermen in an era of increasingly rapid technological progress aims to explain the basic competencies that electric propulsion boat users need to have. Analysis based on implementation needs to be carried out with the aim of adapting the use of water transportation technology, namely ships with electric power, according to the required competencies. This research was carried out using a descriptive qualitative approach method with a literature study type of research. The research was carried out by collecting data from secondary sources such as books and journal articles related to the variables and subjects of this research. From the research results, a comparison was obtained between the abilities currently possessed by fishermen, and the abilities that fishermen must have in the future in facing developments in water transportation. It is known that, in terms of use, users need to understand the use of electric propulsion ships and K3 in their application, in terms of understanding more about the main components of the technology used, in terms of maintenance being able to repair and maintain the components, and understanding the social impacts that occur as well as the advantages and disadvantages of using them. Therefore, efforts are needed to educate the public so that they can easily receive clear information about electric propulsion ship technology, so that the results of the development of this technology can be accepted by the general public.

Abstract

This paper describes aerodynamic tests (wind tunnel tests) for a model of Wing in Surface Effect Craft 8 seater, WiSE-8. The tests were conducted at UPT-Laboratorium Aero Gasdinamika dan Getaran (LAGG)-BPPT, PUSPIPTEK, Serpong, to determine the performance of the lift and pre-take off craft conditions. This craft model with scale of 1 per 6 was tested with rigid body - upside up - power off method. The profile of craft wing model was aerofoil form, Clark-Y. The craft model test with complete configuration (Wing-Body-Pontoon-Nacelle-Tail) was carried out with the following parameters, wind speed of 20, 30, 40, and 50 m per sec, angle of attack of -6 to 18 degree, yaw angle of 0 degree, ground board height 0-1 m (in respect to prototype value of 0-6 m). Meanwhile,the tests of air flow visualization were carried out by using wool tuft at speed of 40 m per sec. The result of wind tunnel test consisting of CL, CD, CM, and CL-CD was validated by theoritical calculation using Vortex Lattice Method (VLM) and Datcom software. Then this result was evaluated and extrapolated to predict the movement of WiSE-8 in the pre take off performance condition, especially in the longitudinal direction.
