Abstract

The availability of drug abuse data from the official website of the National Narcotics Board of Indonesia is not up-to-date. Besides, the drug reports from Indonesian National Narcotics Board are only published once a year. This study aims to utilize online news sites as a data source for collecting information about drug abuse in Indonesia. In addition, this study also builds a named entity recognition (NER) model to extract information from news texts. The primary NER model in this study uses the convolutional neural network-long short-term memory (CNNs-LSTM) architecture because it can produce a good performance and only requires a relatively short computation time. Meanwhile, the baseline NER model uses the bidirectional long short-term memory-conditional random field (Bi-LSTMs-CRF) architecture because it is easy to implement using the Flair framework. The primary model that has been built results in a performance (F1 score) of 82.54%. Meanwhile, the baseline model only results in a performance (F1 score) of 69.67%. Then, the raw data extracted by NER is processed to produce the number of drug suspects in Indonesia from 2018-2020. However, the data that has been produced is not as complete as similar data sourced from Indonesian National Narcotics Board publications.

Abstract

Households food insecurity in the Province of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) has an urgency to address. Although regionally the province of NTT has a food secure status in 2021, the prevalence of people experiencing food insecurity in that province is the highest nationally. This study aims to analyze the determinants of households food insecurity status in NTT Province in 2021. This study uses two levels of analysis units, namely the households level and the districts/cities level by applying the multilevel binary logistic regression method. The data used are raw data and publications from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). Most households in NTT Province are food insecure. Determinants of households food insecurity status in NTT Province in 2021 are area of residence, gender of head of household (HH), age of HH, field of business of HH, number of household members, household poverty status, status of food aid recipients, sources of proper drinking water, and the number of shops and markets.

Abstract

Based on BPS data, the percentage of health complaints for Women of Reproductive Age (WUS) in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province in five years (2017-2021) has continued to increase and has become the highest in Indonesia. The importance of WUS health is related to family, community and in giving birth to a healthy generation. In this study WUS health complaints were divided into three categories, that is not health complaints, health complaints not interfering with activities and health complaints interfering with activities. Therefore, this study was conducted using multinomial logistic regression. The results showed that with a significance level of five percent it was proven that the classification place of residence, last education, most activity status, status of living alone, and food insecurity had a significant effect, both on health complaints that did not interfere with activities or interfere with activities. The government is expected to continue to promote the importance of education (at least 12 years), improve mental health counseling programs, and continue to increase efforts to overcome food insecurity.

Abstract

Energy has an important role to support life. Energy consumption that focuses on non-renewable natural resources or what is usually called fossil energy can have negative effects on the environment. For this reason, alternative efforts are needed to provide energy that can replace it, namely renewable energy. The aim of this research is to analyze variables that are thought to influence renewable energy consumption in Indonesia in 2003-2021. The analysis is carried out descriptively and inferentially. Descriptive analysis displays a line chart to provide an overview of developments in the volume of renewable energy consumption in Indonesia. Inferential analysis was carried out in a time series using the Error Correction Model (ECM). The results of the analysis show that in the long term the variables economic growth, population, fossil energy consumption, and average years of schooling have an influence on renewable energy consumption in Indonesia on 2003 2021. In the short term, the variables economic growth, fossil energy consumption, and average years of schooling influence renewable energy consumption in Indonesia on 2003- 2021.
