Abstract

Lately, there have often been situations of differences and debates that have occurred among the community such as violence and riots which have resulted in the birth of hatred for each other. Meanwhile on May 13, 2018 the involvement of children and women in suicide bombings in Surabaya gave birth to the assumption of women based on religion-based radicalism that could divide the peace and Student of the Jember State Islamic Institute (IAIN)schools are expected to become the main container and become a model for the community in tackling such situations and can instill values of tolerance and peace. The focus of this research is how to implement a culture of peace in pesantren in instilling tolerance and moderation. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach with interview and observation techniques. The results of this study indicate that the Hubbul Qur'aan Islamic boarding school in Nogosari Village promotes a pluralist attitude, tolerance to local culture and acceptance of social development.Keywords: Implementation, Peace Culture, Tolerance and Moderate Attitude.

Abstract

The auction mechanism for pledged goods (rahn) in Islamic pawnshops represents a crucial intersection between Sharia compliance and the application of Islamic business ethics. This study aims to critically examine the auction procedures at Pegadaian Syariah Blega Branch and assess their conformity with core ethical values in Islamic economics. Employing a qualitative descriptive method, data were gathered through direct observation, semi-structured interviews with both employees and customers, and document analysis. The results indicate that the auction process is carried out in a transparent and professional manner, involving key stages such as item reappraisal, formal customer notification, public auction announcements, and an open and competitive bidding system. These procedures align not only with fiqh provisions concerning rahn but also reflect fundamental Islamic ethical values, including honesty (ṣidq), justice (‘adālah), and trustworthiness (amānah). The study concludes that the auction mechanism implemented at Pegadaian Syariah Blega Branch is not merely compliant with the formal legal framework but also serves as a concrete embodiment of Sharia-based ethical business practices. This contributes meaningfully to strengthening ethical governance within Islamic financial institutions and underscores the importance of integrating moral values into operational mechanisms.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of YouTube video media on students' learning outcomes in learning Islamic Cultural History. SKI learning is often considered not serious or only as a complement, both by students and educators themselves. This is because SKI material only contains stories and the methods used by educators tend to be monotonous and boring. So that the average learning outcomes obtained are not satisfactory and do not reach the minimum completeness criteria standards. So in this study, the researcher tried to use video media in SKI learning. The research was conducted by providing a pretest and posttest. From the results of the research that has been carried out, there is an increase in student learning outcomes after applying YouTube video media in learning. The average learning outcome before treatment was 69.53 and the learning outcome after treatment was 85.45. In this case, the application of YouTube video media in SKI learning is able to improve student learning outcomes in the medium category.
