Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kepemimpinan demokratis dan komunikasi organisasi terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan PT. Airindo Sentra Medika Cabang Medan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di PT. Airindo Sentra Medika Cabang Medan Jalan H. M yamin No. 41 Medan. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh karyawan pada PT. Airindo Sentra Medika Cabang Medan yang berjumlah 42 orang. Sampel yang digunakan diambil dengan metode sampling jenuh yakni pengambilan sampel dengan seluruh anggota atau elemen populasi pada PT. Airindo Sentra Medika Cabang Medan, yang berjumlah 42 orang. Alat analisis penelitian menggunakan regresi linear berganda dengan program SPSS. Hasil penelitian dengan uji secara parsial membuktikan bahwa Promosi memiliki nilai t-hitung > t-tabel (4,122 > 1,6819) dan signifikan sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 artinya Gaya Kepemimpinan Demokratis berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Kepuasan Kerja. Nilai koefisien yang diperoleh sebesar 0,478, dengan nilai t-hitung < t-tabel (4,347 > 1,6819) dan signifikan sebesar 0,005 < 0,05 artinya Komunikasi Organisasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Kepuasan Kerja. Secara simultan, nilai F-hitung (27,208) > F-tabel (3,24), dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, artinya Variabel Gaya Kepemimpinan Demokratis (X1) dan Komunikasi Organisasi (X2) berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap Variabel Kepuasan Kerja (Y). Nilai koefisien determinasi (R Square) pada penelitian ini sebesar 0,583 hal ini berarti 58,3% sedangkan sisanya (100% - 58,3% = 41,7%) dijelaskan oleh variabel lain diluar variabel yang diteliti.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas praktik puasa dalam Agama Buddha, khususnya Hari Uposatha, yang memiliki makna spiritual mendalam. Puasa dalam konteks ini melibatkan delapan aturan moral dan lima aturan dasar, serta memiliki peran penting dalam pengembangan diri dan pencarian pencerahan. Melalui studi literatur, artikel ini mengungkapkan bahwa puasa dalam Agama Buddha digunakan sebagai sarana untuk mengendalikan hawa nafsu, mengembangkan ketenangan batin, dan mendekatkan diri pada pencerahan. Artikel juga menyoroti tata cara pelaksanaan Hari Uposatha yang dilakukan berdasarkan penanggalan Lunar, serta membahas permasalahan dan pertanyaan seputar praktik puasa dalam Agama Buddha di Indonesia. Selanjutnya, pembahasan mencakup sistem penanggalan Hari Uposatha, aturan-aturan khusus yang harus diikuti, dan aktivitas yang dapat dilakukan oleh umat Buddha selama menjalankan Uposatha. Selain itu, artikel mengeksplorasi cara umat Buddha dapat meningkatkan wawasan dan kesadaran diri selama Uposatha, termasuk melalui meditasi. Penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa meditasi memiliki peran penting dalam menjaga kesehatan mental dan meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menghadapi stres. Artikel mengakhiri dengan mengajukan pertanyaan kritis tentang bagaimana mengurangi efek dominansi budaya agama lain pada Agama Buddha di Indonesia. Solusinya mencakup dukungan terhadap organisasi Buddhis dan pendidikan umat Buddha mengenai ajaran Dhamma untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini. Artikel ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan dan solusi terhadap permasalahan terkait puasa dalam Agama Buddha di Indonesia. Kata kunci: puasa; uposatha; agama Buddha; Indonesia   This article discusses the practice of fasting in Buddhism, especially Uposatha Day, which has deep spiritual meaning. Fasting in this context involves eight moral rules and five basic rules, and has an important role in self-development and the search for enlightenment. Through literature study, this article reveals that fasting in Buddhism is used as a means to control lust, develop inner calm, and get closer to enlightenment. The article also highlights the procedures for implementing Uposatha Day which is carried out based on the Lunar calendar, as well as discussing problems and questions regarding the practice of fasting in Buddhism in Indonesia. Next, the discussion includes the Uposatha Day calendar system, special rules that must be followed, and activities that Buddhists can carry out while observing the Uposatha. Additionally, the article explores ways Buddhists can increase insight and self-awareness during Uposatha, including through meditation. Research also shows that meditation has an important role in maintaining mental health and improving students' ability to deal with stress. The article concludes by asking critical questions about how to reduce the effects of cultural dominance of other religions on Buddhism in Indonesia. Solutions include support for Buddhist organizations and education of Buddhists in the teachings of the Dhamma to overcome these problems. It is hoped that this article can provide insight and solutions to problems related to fasting in Buddhism in Indonesia. Keyword: fasting; uposatha; Buddhism; meditasi; Indonesia

Abstract

Teacher performance in the science teaching and learning process is an important indicator of achieving educational goals. This is the background to this research related to the low performance of teachers in kindergartens/early childhood education in Kutublang District. This study aims to analyze the influence of work discipline (X1) on teacher performance (Y); work motivation (X2) on teacher performance (Y), and the influence of both together on the performance of kindergarten/early childhood education teachers in Kutublang District. This study is a quantitative correlational study with a sample of 120 teachers. Sampling used a random technique, with all correlation tests using the SPSS program. The results of the study illustrate that there is a significant correlation between work discipline (X1) and teacher performance (Y) of 56.6% with the weakest dimension being adherence to time rules, the correlation between work motivation (X2) and teacher performance (Y) of 8.9% with weaknesses in the intrinsic motivation dimension, and a significant correlation between the two variables X1 and X2 simultaneously on teacher performance (Y) in TK/PAUD in Kutablang District of 56.2% with the regression equation Ŷ = 18.787 + 2.083 X1 + 0.154 X2. Based on the results of the study, the researcher provides recommendations that teachers should improve discipline, motivation, and achievement in carrying out work with a full sense of responsibility, and school leaders should always monitor teacher performance in science learning and provide encouragement so that teachers are motivated to improve work discipline.
