Abstract

This research was conducted in the City of Palangka Raya. The location of the research was done intentionally (purposive sampling) with the consideration that as the capital city of Central Kalimantan Province, in Palangka Raya City there was a lot of enthusiasm and became the center of tempe agroindustry production. Determination of tempe agroindustry respondents was conducted using the census method (census sampling), which is by taking all tempe agro-industry entrepreneurs (16 entrepreneurs) in Palangka Raya City. Furthermore, the determination of the tempe marketing institutions which includes large wholesalers and retailers is carried out by a snowball sampling method. Data collected in this study are primary data and secondary data. Tempe marketing in Palangka Raya City consists of three marketing channels and the marketing institutions involved are wholesalers and retailers. The total marketing costs of tempe per pack in the marketing channel patterns I, II and III are Rp. 0,-, Rp. 500,- and Rp. 1,000,- and also Rp. 1,200,-. The total marketing margin of tempe per pack in the marketing channel pattern I is Rp. 900,- for small sizes, Rp. 1,100,- for medium size and Rp. 1,210,- for large sizes. In the marketing channel pattern II is Rp. 1,000,- for small size, and Rp. 2,000,- for medium and large sizes. In the marketing channel pattern III of Rp. 3,000,- for small, medium and large sizes. The total profit for marketing tempe per pack in the marketing channel pattern I is Rp. 900,- for small tempe, Rp. 1,100,- for medium-sized tempe and Rp. 1,210,- for large tempe. In the marketing channel pattern II is Rp. 500,- for small tempe, Rp. 1,000,- for medium and large tempe. In the marketing channel pattern III of Rp. 1,800,- for small, medium and large sizes tempe.

Abstract

This study aims: (1) to find out how kepok banana farming performance; and (2) analyzing the income of kepok banana farming in Bangun Harja Village, East Seruyan Hilir Subdistrict, Seruyan District. The research location was chosen purposively with the population of banana farmers in Bangun Harja Village, East Seruyan Hilir Subdistrict, Seruyan District and the samples taken were 66 people using the simple random sampling method. The types of data used in this study include primary and secondary data. The results showed that the characteristics of kepok banana farming in Bangun Harja Village, East Seruyan Hilir Subdistrict, Seruyan District were a) land characteristics, b) kepok banana farming tools, c) production facilities and d) kepok banana production. The calculation results show that the size of the income of kepok banana farming is influenced by the amount of production and production costs. And it is known that the average amount of revenue is Rp.  46,304,734, which is greater than the amount spent, which is Rp. 3,098,969 and the average income received in a year is Rp. 43,110,516. The profit value or R/C Ratio in a year count of 14.9 means that the kepok banana farming in Bangun Harja Village, East Seruyan Hilir Subdistrict, Seruyan District is profitable, because the R/C Ratio value is greater than 1.

Abstract

This study aims to identify internal and external factors that affect the management of vegetable farming, development strategies, and priorities so that it is expected to be useful in developing the management of this farm. Qualitative data were compiled from informants consisting of selected key informants and local respondents selected randomly from local farmers. This data is analyzed descriptively and quantized by using SWOT method and by using QSPM (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix) matrix. The results showed that the development of vegetable farming is influenced by the availability of large enough land but less fertile / peat. The trend of market demand tends to increase but there are fewer local and external competitors; Strategy analysis through SWOT matrix resulted seven alternative strategies that is optimizing the potential of land owned by opening access road to vegetable farming area, and expanding vegetable planting area; follow technological developments in vegetable farming, especially organic vegetables, and develop business with the utilization of capital assistance; increase production and quality of crops; to make peatlands suitable for agricultural land and to minimize costs. Priority strategies that can be applied in the development of vegetable farming based on QSPM are: the means of production and agricultural tools available locally, the distance of the competitor's location with the vegetable market further, and the majority of the population work as farmers (no shortage of labor).

Abstract

The research aims to analize: (1) level of sustainability farming of rice in peat land and (2) level of farmers household income in peat land. Research location determined by purposive sampling in Terusan Karya Village, Bataguh Sub District, Kapuas. Sampling was done by simple random sampling method by taking 50 farmers household serve as respondent. Data collected in form of primary and secondary data. To achieve the purpose of first study were analyzed by scoring sustainability of farming indicators using Likert Scale system. Indicator of farming sustainability is an instrument that includes biophysical and socio-economic aspects used to measure the level of sustainability of farming of rice in peat land. To achieve purpose of second study analyzed a simple tabulation to measure level of farmers household income. Based on analysis of farming sustainability of rice in peat land turns farming sustainability index by 76.10 percent, which means that the level of farming sustainability is good category (highly sustainable). The results of the analysis of farmers household income was found that the level of farmer households income of IDR 16,906,614 which means that the economic situation has been categorized good farmer households.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan: (1) menganalisis tingkat pendapatan rumahtangga petani; (2) mengetahui kontribusi pendapatan rumahtangga petani dari usahatani padi lokal di lahan pasang surut terhadap total pendapatan rumahtangga petani; (3) menganalisis tingkat kesejahteraan rumahtangga petani. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Palingkau Lama dan Palingkau Baru, Kecamatan Kapuas Murung, Kapuas. Pemilihan lokasi dilakukan secara sengaja dengan pertimbangan potensi pengembangan dan pengelolaan lahan pasang surut cukup luas. Penentuan sampel secara sengaja sebanyak  50 KK.  Hasil: pendapatan rumahtangga petani di Palingkau Lama dan Palingkau Baru Rp 26.010.754 dan Rp  23.000.427, kontribusi pendapatan usahatani padi lokal pasang surut terhadap total pendapatan rumahtangga petani 93,05 persen dan 84,07 persen. Proporsi konsumsi pangan di Palingkau Lama 83,48 persen dengan pengeluaran kosumsi pangan Rp 13.839.396, sedangkan di Palingkau Baru 83,05 persen dengan nilai Rp 13.902.956. Ini berarti rumahtangga petani di Palingkau Lama dan Palingkau Baru dikategorikan rumahtangga belum sejahtera, karena proporsi pengeluaran konsumsi pangan lebih besar dibanding konsumsi non pangan.

Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi permintaan berasdi Kabupaten Kotawaringin Timur. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah datasekunder berupa data time series selama 16 tahun (tahun 2000 sampai tahun 2015) meliputidata permintaan beras (Kg/tahun), harga beras (Rp/kg), harga mie instan (Rp/bungkus), hargatelur ayam ras (Rp/butir), pendapatan (Rp/kapita) dan jumlah penduduk (Jiwa). Hasilpenelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi permintaan beras diKabupaten Kotawaringin Timur adalah harga beras, harga mie instan, harga telur ayam ras,pendapatan per kapita dan jumlah penduduk. Berdasarkan hasil analisis statistik menyatakanbahwa variabel harga beras, harga mie instan, harga telur ayam ras, pendapatan per kapita danjumlah penduduk secara keseluruhan berpengaruh nyata (signifikan) terhadap permintaanberas di Kabupaten Kotawaringin Timur. Sementara secara parsial hanya variabel jumlahpenduduk saja yang berpengaruh nyata (signifikan), sedangkan variabel harga beras, hargamie instan, harga telur ayam ras dan pendapatan per kapita tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadappermintaan beras di Kabupaten Kotawaringin Timur.
