Abstract

Kasus Salim Kancil di Desa Selok Awar-awar, Kecamatan Pasirian, Kabupaten Lumajang, Jawa Timur, menjadi perhatian public. Koran Radar Semeru Group Jawa Pos yang memberitakan peristiwa Pembunuhan Salim Kancil merupakan koran nasional yang terletak di Kabupaten Lumajang. Berita adalah informasi yang sangat dibutuhkan orang dalam menentukan tempatnya ditengah dunia yang secara cepat berubah (Shibsiutani, dalam Munandar, et. al., 2004 : 57). Berita kasus Salim Kancil sangat menarik untuk bahan kajian penelitian. Penelitian ini untuk mengungkap dan menggali dari wacana isu kerusakan lingkungan akibat penambangan pasir menjadi termarginalkan dalam pemberitaan media massa. Penelitian ini merumuskan masalah tentang Koran Radar Semeru mengembangkan wacana issu pembunuhan Salim Kancil. Dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan kajian wacana, ideology dan hegemoni, teks, kognisi sosial, teks, konteks sosial. Penelitian ini berjenis kualitatif kritikal dengan metode Analisis Wacana Kritis dengan model analisis Van A. Teun Dijk yang menggambarkan tiga dimensi/bangunan: teks, kognisi sosial, dan konteks sosial. Intinya, menggabungkan ketiga dimensi wacana tersebut kedalam satu kesatuan analisis. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan analisis Teks berita Koran Radar Semeru selama 26 September sampai Desember 2015, selama 64 edisi berita tentang Salim Kancil terdapat upaya mengalihkan isu lingkungan pada isu hukum. Pada analisis Kognisi Sosial berita Koran Radar Semeru mencerminkan bahwa Peliputan dan pemberitaan oleh Wartawan tidak melihat kasus murni Salim Kancil sebagai Isu Lingkungan meski mereka menempatkan korban Salim Kancil dan Tosan sebagai aktifis anti tambang, dibanding isu-isu Lingkungan. Pada Analisis Sosial peliputan pada narasumber yang berkompeten lebih konsen untuk membahas penyelesaian kasus hukum. Abstract

This study analyzes how contemporary calligraphy is used as a medium for Islamic preaching (dakwah) by Refil Andriansyah through the Instagram platform. Utilizing a qualitative approach with Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic theory, this research examines the visual signs in Refil's works to understand the meanings embedded within them. The findings show that contemporary calligraphy not only serves as an aesthetic art form but also as an effective medium for spiritual communication. Symbols such as the "Allah" inscription and minaret icons in Refil's works convey profound moral and religious messages, making them a powerful tool for dakwah. Instagram, as a visual platform, allows these works to reach a broad and diverse audience, especially the younger generation active on social media. This study concludes that contemporary calligraphy supported by digital technology has great potential to become a relevant and inclusive tool for dakwah in the modern era. Traditional Islamic calligraphy, when combined with contemporary elements and disseminated through social media, can remain vibrant and dynamic, making a significant impact in spreading religious messages to a wider audience.

Abstract

Islamic preaching (dakwah) continues to evolve alongside advancements in digital technology, particularly through the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI). AI holds significant potential in supporting the dissemination of Islamic teachings via chatbots, automated fatwa systems, and AI-based religious learning applications. However, the implementation of AI in dakwah also faces various ethical challenges, including algorithmic bias, limitations in understanding complex religious contexts, and issues related to user data privacy and security. This study aims to analyze the role of AI in Islamic preaching, identify the challenges encountered, and explore ethical solutions for its implementation. Using a qualitative approach based on literature review, the research findings indicate that while AI enhances accessibility to religious information, it cannot replace scholars (ulama) in providing spiritual guidance and issuing fatwas that consider the social and cultural aspects of the Muslim community. Therefore, clear regulations and the involvement of Islamic scholars in AI development for dakwah are essential to ensure that this technology is used responsibly and aligns with Islamic values.

Abstract

In the current digital era brings many changes to the community, this is also very influential on traditional markets, therefore traditional markets should be one of the economic sectors that require attention and also efforts in community economic empowerment so that da'wah community economic empowerment for traditional market traders is essential in the digital era like today because it affects the continuation of their business. Traditional markets are where direct buying and selling occur between sellers and buyers. Traditional markets have existed since ancient times and are symbols of local people's lives. However, traditional markets have faced significant challenges, and traders must adapt to increasingly sophisticated digital media to compete with modern markets. From this study, the author concludes that da'wah community economic empowerment for traditional market traders is essential in the digital era like today because for the sustainability of their business, by utilizing digital media traders can develop their business and also increase competitiveness and also expand the range of buying and selling, strengthening partnerships between traders and buyers is also a priority in encouraging community economic growth.
