Abstract

This study aims to look how the teachers applied the strategies used to promote learner autonomy in the classroom. The research design was descriptive using qualitative approach. Source of the data from this study is an English teacher in high school Adabiah Padang totaling three teachers. In collecting the data, the researcher used observation checklist, field note and video recorder. When observed by using a checklist and field notes, researchers looked at all the activities of teachers and checklist based on indicators of the strategies to promote leaner autonomy in the classroom. Observations were also supported with video recording in order to help the researcher in the data process. There are six indicators used in this study, namely leaner goals, focusing on student's independence from the teacher, providing opportunities for the students to learn from each other, leaner strategy, providing opportunities for self-peer correction and reflection on learning. After analyzing or data process obtained from the use of such instruments, the researcher found that only two of the six indicators are often used by two the teachers from the three teachers that observed were providing opportunities from the student's to learn from each other and providing self-peer opportunities for correction. The percentage of promoting leaner autonomy: teachers' application in managing class at SMA Adabiah Padang, for teacher A is low level (33,3%), for teacher B is low level (33 ,3%) and for teacher C is very low (1 6,6%).

Abstract

This research aims to see the relationship between the role of teachers as mentors in cultivating the character of Generation Alpha children at Gedung Rejo State Elementary School, with the class teacher as the sample in this study. The alpha generation, which grew up in the digital era, faces various challenges in character formation, such as discipline, responsibility and empathy. This research uses a quantitative approach with interview and questionnaire methods to collect data from class V homeroom teachers at Gedung Rejo Elementary School. The data that has been collected is then tested by the researcher using the Correlation Test, in which case the researcher wants to see the relationship between the teacher's role as a student guide and the child's disciplinary character. In this research, the researcher obtained data from the homeroom teacher, the data was then processed and the researcher found a relationship between the role of the teacher and the child's disciplinary character, where the researcher found that the role of the teacher in guiding children to develop the disciplinary character of alpha generation children is very important for children growing up in this very sophisticated technological era. The results of this research show that the teacher's role as a character guide has a very significant influence on the development of children's character, especially on the discipline of alpha generation children.

Abstract

This literature review examines the postharvest processing methods and quality characteristics of the Ateng Super Arabica cultivar, a key coffee variety from the Gayo highlands. The study aims to synthesize findings on its physical, chemical, and sensory traits, as well as evaluate how processing techniques influence final cup quality. Results show that Ateng Super beans are uniform and dense, with balanced chemical composition, moderate caffeine, 5–7% chlorogenic acids, and relatively high sucrose: supporting sweetness, body, and aromatic complexity. Sensory attributes typically include floral–herbal aroma, balanced sweetness, medium–full body, low–medium acidity, and a clean aftertaste. Comparative analysis highlights that full-washed processing enhances clarity and acidity, whereas semi-washed yields stronger sweetness and heavier body. These findings emphasize the need for standardized postharvest protocols and precise roasting control to maintain quality consistency. Further research integrating physical, chemical, and sensory parameters is recommended to optimize the quality of Ateng Super Arabica.
