Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the characteristic of catfish based on it’s size, age and the ability of swimming. The special purpose is to know and examine the swimming durance, swimming speed, maximum swimming speed and prolonged swimming speed of catfish that will be compared with the review of literature through this experiment method. The result of this experiment shows that the swimming durance, swimming speed, the maximum swimming speed and prolonged swimming speed of catfish will be weak in the certain speed when it is given the high stream flow. Keywords : Endurance, swimming speed, maximum swimming speed, and prolonged swimming speed of catfish.

Abstract

The research was conducted in March 2013 with the object of Tilapia (Oreochromisniloticus). The research objects are counted by the number of heartbeats different currenttreatments. The purpose of this study was to determine the heart rate of tilapia(Oreochromis niloticus), a basic knowledge of predicting the rate of metabolism andrespiration and heart rate also determine the activity of tilapia at different swimmingspeeds, in the process of catching up with the use of active fishing gear. The higher theflow rate used in tilapia fishes the heart rate up, and seen in the relative heart rate rangingfrom (1.1 to 3.78), a portrait that fish require a lot of energy so that the fish is alsoincreasing the body's metabolisme. Keywords: Heartbeats, Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus), Flow, Size Fish

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study will be conducted in June 2014 which was held at the Laboratory of Materials Capture Device Utilization of Water Resources of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, University of Riau. The method uses a completely randomized design (RAL) with the untreated control with 10 replications. Strength of PA yarn without treatment has a breaking strength of 12.1 kgf, elongation 15:35 mm, while break strength and elongation threads preserved highest of yarn treatment C with a value of 16.0 kgf breaking strength; elongation of 19.5 mm, followed by treatment B with a value of 14.5 kgf breaking strength; elongation of 17.9 mm; and treatment A with a value of 13.3 kgf breaking strength elongation of 16.6 mm. The result of a completely randomized design (ANOVA) yarn soaked with bark extract greetings with different concentrations ie 0.3 kg / liter of water 0.5 kg / liter of water and 0.7 kg / liter of water was highly significant (p <0 , 00) to the threads of control. Keywords: Concentration, End Strength , elongation

Abstract

This research was conducted in January precisely on 21 January until 10 February 2015 atLampulo fishing port, Banda Aceh. the purpose of this study is to obtain data and informationabout contribution of the Lampulo fishing Port for fishing catch in Banda Aceh. Variousinformation is needed namely, the number of fishermen, the number of fishing gear and boats, total production of fishery products and the Port Lampulo income which is then compared withthe fisheries sector Banda Aceh, Lampulo fishing port contribution to the fisheries sector is 72-78% the number of fishermen, number of fleets 56-76%, 56-75% the amount of fishing gear, fishproduction contributes 74-99% and contributions PP Lampulo for 42-53% of regional revenue, ifthe contribution of the port of> 5%, then there is an opportunity to continue to develop in apositive direction if <5%, it is unlikely the port will increase its revenue in the future.Keyword: PP Lampulo, Contribution, Banda Aceh, Fishery Sector

Abstract

ABSTRACTAde Murdani@ymail.comThis research was conducted on July to September 2014, which is held in the Laboratory of fishing Gear Materials, Utilization of Water Resources, The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, University of Riau. The purpose of this study was to know the effect of drying for the breaking strength of polyamide yarns which have experienced the preservation of jengkol bark extract and salam bark extract. This study used an experimental method by performing the experiments effect of drying outdoors directly in sunlight and in a room with aerated for breaking strength of yarns PA(polyamide) whinch heve experienced the preservation. The breaking strength of yarns that used jengkol and salam bark extract which were dried in the room are higher than the yarns in the outdoors with directly sunlight. The soaking of yarns by using jengkol bark extract resulted the better breaking strength of yarns than the yarns which were soaked by salam bark extract.Keyword : breaking strength, yarns polyamide, extracts, drying

Abstract

This study was conducted on 3-14 July 2014 in the laboratory of Materials Capture Tool (BAT) Department of Water Resource Utilization (PSP). The purpose of this study to determine sawdust as raw material for the manufacture of insulating and find the best composition to a predetermined ratio. The method used is the experimental method. Which conducted tests on three coolers of fish (coolbox) are made, with the insulator sawdust mixed with tapioca flour and then the data in anilisis descriptively. The result showed that the use of sawdust as raw material for the insulator can be used but need to be refined and modified to be able to compete with factory-made quality. Of the three treatments cooler box fish (coolbox) that retain the best of the old aspect ratio of ice is 100% sawdust for 12-13 hours. While the temperature of the best aspect ratio is 70:30 with the lowest temperature of 6.6 0C inner wall and outer wall of 20.4 0C.Keywords: Cooler Box Fish (coolbox). Insulator (insulation). Abstract

This research was conducted in March 2015 in the Material Fishing Device Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, University of Riau, Pekanbaru. The aim of this research was to determined the influence of the speed of sinking yarn PA (Polyamide) which has been preservatied with extract of laurel bark and extract of guava bark. The method in this research was experiments that carried out in the Laboratory Material Fishing Device Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, University of Riau, Pekanbaru by observing the speed of sinking yarn PA (Polyamide) which uses preserveted extract of laurel bark extract and extract of guava bark with the same concentration which 0.7 kg/pliter of water. Each treatment was repeated 10 repetitions. From the sinking speed measurement data the thread can be seen that the value of the highest drowning rate is on a extract of laurel bark to the value of 1.8054 cm/sec, followed by extract of guava bark with a value of 1.5622 cm/sec, the thread of control with a value of 1.3502 cm/sec.Keywords: Sinking Speed, Laurel bark, Guava bark, PA (Polyamide) Yarns
