Abstract

The rapid development of information technology have a positive and negative impacts. In this case, the advantage with the advancement of information technology can be utilized to store a variety of undergraduate thesis work of students, especially in the Department of Vocational and Technology Education Unpar stored in digital form. By way of this paperless storage can save space and storage space. But on the other hand, it is easy to be copied by the less responsible student. One way to protect the authenticity of ownership of digital data is by using watermarking. Watermarking technique is the process of adding a permanent identification code into digital data. In this study , the focus was on how to make use of watermarking techniques in digital documents. Experiments conducted concluded that the use of space for storing watermark bits is very promising. Decoding or watermark embedding is done by inserting a watermark on each bit contained in the document space, while the watermark retrieval or decoding by taking every bit watermark of spaces contained in documents that have been inserted watermark.

Abstract

The background of this research is that the weak understanding of teachers in Sekolah Dasar Negeri 3 Buntok and Sekolah Dasar Negeri Danau Ganting in Barito Selatan Regency on the process standard in Education National Standard that resulted in the learning process which is not in accordance with the mandate of Permendiknas No. 41 Tahun 2007. To overcome this, mentoring is done to teachers at both schools. For the conditions before and after the mentoring, the data are collected through document study and observation. The results of the analysis of the data obtained showed a significant impact on improving the quality of the implementation process of learning. Improved implementation of the learning process is supported by teacher’s better understanding of the standards process, RPP planning done not only for the paper work or copying someone else's, as well as the use of learning outcomes assessment to improve their RPP for the next meeting.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine whether the application of Seven Jump Method (SJM) can improve understanding of concept of electrical measuring instruments on the students in Program Studi of Mechanical Engineering Education FKIP Palangkaraya University Academic Year 2014/2015. SJM implementation phases consisting of pre-discussion, discussion, and after the discussion. Data collection was performed by providing pre-test at the time of pre-discussion and post-test at the time of the postdiscussion. The results showed a significant increase in the value of the pre-test to post-test as well as a change after learning in major categories.

Abstract

The purpose of inventory is to maintain office infrastructure and facilitate inventory control activities regarding their use. The laboratory of the Mechanical Engineering Education study program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Palangka Raya University has assets in the form of equipment and materials for student practicums. These assets must be managed well so that existing equipment and materials can be controlled properly. Therefore, the aim of this research is to create an equipment inventory application in the form of Microsoft Access. The use of an inventory application in the form of Microsoft Access is expected to make it easier for laboratory heads to control existing equipment and materials. The research method used is the ADDIE R&D model with the following stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. The results of the research are a laboratory equipment inventory application that has been validated by media experts at 86.66%, material experts at 92.5%, and user response at 88.38% with the conclusion that it is very suitable for use.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the performance of the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) in reducing exhaust gas opacity, smoke temperature and noise levels on the 1997 Isuzu Panther. The DPF used in this research is made of copper and stainless steel with a metallic honeycomb model. This experimental study involved installing a DPF on a standard diesel vehicle exhaust system and measuring exhaust emissions, smoke temperature and noise levels. The measuring instrument used to test the opacity and temperature of the exhaust gas is a smoke opacity meter based on the SAE-J1667 test procedure (snap acceleration test procedure). Meanwhile, to test the noise level, a sound level meter based on ISO/FDIS 5130:2006 (E) standard was used. Tests were carried out under various conditions including standard exhaust testing (Non-DPF), standard exhaust with DPF (DPF), DPF with 50 gram stainless steel material (DPF + SS50), DPF with 100 gram stainless steel material (DPF + SS100), and DPF made of 150 gram stainless steel (DPF + SS150). The test results showed that DPF had a significant effect on reducing exhaust opacity, smoke temperature and noise level of the 1997 Isuzu Panther. The greatest reduction in exhaust opacity, smoke temperature and noise level were produced by DPF + 150 gram stainless steel with exhaust opacity that could be reduced by 87, 1 ± 1.1%, smoke temperature of 43.2 ± 1.7%, and noise level of 15.2 ± 1.3%. These findings open up opportunities for the development of DPF technology that is more efficient in reducing diesel vehicle emissions, contribute to stricter emissions regulations, and support filter design innovation to improve air quality and reduce the negative impact of vehicles on the environment. In addition, the results of this research show that the use of DPF is in accordance with the diesel vehicle emission threshold regulations set in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the Link and Match learning program in Light Vehicle Engineering at SMK Karsa Mulya Palangka Raya. The evaluation covers input and process aspects conducted by the school and the business/industry partner, namely PT. Murni Berlian Motor Palangka Raya (Mitsubishi Motors). Respondents included 30 students, 3 teachers/school administrators, and 3 representatives from the business/industry partner. Data were collected through surveys, interviews, and documentation, followed by descriptive analysis. The results show, first, that the implementation of the Link and Match program is considered good based on teacher readiness, teacher competence, student preparedness, facilities, and cooperation. The input evaluation falls into the good category, with an average score of 18.00. Second, the process of implementing this program in the business/industry sector is deemed good based on the facilities and infrastructure of the industry class, the role of teachers, the role of students, and work practices at the business/industry site, with an average score of 17.07 by students and 19.00 by teachers. To support and improve the quality of the Link and Match program, it is recommended to provide varied provision to enhance students' understanding of the material and to conduct in-depth evaluations of students' comprehension of vocational competences.
