Abstract

This research aims to understand the transformation of the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) in realizing the supremacy of elections. The research method used is a literature study with a qualitative descriptive approach. The results of the study indicate that the transformation of Bawaslu can be achieved by aligning the institution with judicial and law enforcement bodies. Additionally, for performance optimization, the use of algorithm-based information technology can be an alternative to achieve effective and efficient supervision. This condition can impact the establishment of election supremacy. The recommendation for this research is the formulation of a blueprint for the development of supervision methods and the mobilization of public support.

Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kepemimpinan pemerintahan yang dijalankan oleh pemerintah di tingkat lokal. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode kepustakaan. Studi ini menemukan bahwa kepemimpinan pemerintahan herman deru berhasil memberikan dampak kepada masyarakat dan pemerintahan melalui pelaksanaan kebijakan berbasis regulasi yang baik. Namun kebijakan yang dilaksanakan belum memiliki tujuan yang kuat. Studi ini berimplikasi pada penyempurnaan teori kepemimpinan pemerintahan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui legitimasi kultural berbasis janji dalam kepemimpinan Sultan Hamengku Buwono X dalam konteks pemerintahan. Sultan menyanggupi lima janji didepan ayahnya, yang secara tidak langsung memberikan legitimasi terhadap takhta yang ia terima. Beberapa persoalan atau polemik terjadi pada periode pemerintahan Sultan sebagai Gubernur DIY tahun 1998 sampai 2022. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis wacana digunakan dalam penelitian, menggunakan sumber data berbasis informasi dari media, regulasi serta artikel ilmiah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan budaya berhasil diwujudkan oleh Sultan melalui pelaksanaan janji yang menjadi landasan legitimasi kultural. Penelitian ini berdampak pada implikasi teoritis terkait cultural leadership prototypes.

Abstract

This article discusses the educational background of members of parliament in the field of government studies, political science, or public administration related to their performance in government management, specifically in the area of oversight functions. The method used is literature review, analyzing and drawing conclusions from credible secondary data sources. The research findings indicate that the educational background of new politicians is limited to formal academic degrees and has not yet significantly impacted the implementation of effective oversight functions in government management. However, politicians do understand their roles and responsibilities as members of the council. The recommendation from this study is the appropriate use of information technology to provide transparent and accountable information on the execution of oversight functions to the public
