<![CDATA[ABSTRAKSalah satu kunci dalam pelaksanaan pemilihan umum adalah perilaku pemilih. Perilakupemilih sebagai keikutsertaan masyarakat dalam sebuah pemilihan umum, mulai dari menentukanapakah akan ikut memilih atau tidak memilih sampai pada proses menentukan pilihan padapemilihan bupati dan Wakil bupati tersebut. Penelitian ini mencoba memotret perilaku pemilihpada pemilihan bupati dan Wakil bupati Kabupaten Kepulauan Talaud pada tahun 2018. Metodeyang di gunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melaluiwawancara yang di lakukan di lokasi penelitian dan pengkajian dokumen pendukung. Perilakupemilih di Kabupaten Kepulauan Talaud khususnya di Kecamatan Khusus Miangas lebih dominandi pengaruhi oleh pendekatan psikologis yaitu mempertimbangkan pilihan pada figure daripasangan calon dan faktor mengidentifikasi partai. Pemilih juga di pengaruhi oleh pendekatanSosiologis yaitu mempertimbangkan pilihan pada faktor kekeluargaan dan adanya pendekatanpilihan Rasional yaitu melihat visi dan misi serta kinerja dari pasangan calon yang membuatpemilih mempertimbangkan pilihannya dalam pemilihan kepala daerah Kabupaten KepulauanTalaud tahun 2018 di Kecamatan Khusus Miangas.Kata Kunci: Perilaku Pemilih, Pilkada, DemokrasiABSTRACTOne of the keys in conducting elections is voter behavior. Voter behavior inthe Talaud Islands District, especially in the Khusus District of Miangas, is more dominantly influencedby a psychological approach, namely considering the choice of figure of the candidate pair andidentifying factors of the party.
