Abstract

AbstrakDalam sejarah peradaban bangsa, pemuda merupakan aset bangsa yang sangat mahal dan tak ternilaiharganya. Kemajuan atau kehancuran suatu bangsa dan negara banyak tergantung pada kaum mudanyasebagai agent of change (agen perubahan). Pada setiap perkembangan dan pergantian peradaban selalu adagenerasi muda atau pemuda yang memeloporinya. Namun, pemuda Indonesia dewasa ini telah banyakkehilangan jati dirinya, terutama dalam hal wawasan kebangsaan dan patriotisme (cinta tanah air)Indonesia. Oleh karenanya dibutuhkan adanya re-thinking (pemikiran kembali) dan re-inventing(penemuan kembali) dalam nation character building (pembangunan karakter bangsa) bagi pemuda yangberwawasan kebangsaan dan patriotisme untuk menemukan kembali jati diri bangsa. Oleh karena itu, untukmengoptimalkan peranserta organisasi kepemudaan, terutama di wilayah pedesaan, diperlukan upayapemberdayaan pemuda melalui wadah organisasi kepemudaan dalam bidang kompetensi tertentu, terutamakompetensi yang berkaitan dengan keterampilan hidup (life skills) sehingga mereka mampu menciptakanlapangan pekerjaan sendiri, yang pada gilirannya akan mampu menampung pemuda di desa sehingga dapatmengurangi pengangguran dan mencegah kriminalitas serta meminimalisir terjadinya urbanisasi.KecamatanDumoga Barat sebagai lokasi penelitian ini, masyarakatnya memiliki berbagai lapangan usaha atau pekerjaanutama, yakni dibidang pertanian dan yang terbanyak adalah padi sawah, kemudian dibidang industri sesuaidata terakhir sebanyak 27 unit industri yang terdiri dari industri batu bata sebanyak 8 unit usaha dan industrimeubel sebanyak 19 unit usaha. Ke dua jenis industri ini bisa dikembangkan apabila para pemuda ataugenerasi muda di Kecamatan ini memiliki keterampilan yang memadai untuk mengelola industri tersebut.Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberdayaan Pemuda di Kecamatan Dumoga terdiri datitiga faktor antara lain sebagai berikut : 1. Pemberdayaan pemuda melalui program usaha ekonomi,Keagamaan dan Sosial Budaya. Penyelenggaraan pemberdayaan pemuda melalui program usaha ekonomi,Keagamaan dan Sosial Budaya dilakukan dengan beberapa tahap yakni penyadaran, perencanaan,pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Tahap penyadaran mencakup diskusi/sharing, pembukaan akses informasi dansosialisasi. Kegiatan-kegiatan tersebut dilakukan untuk menanamkan kepekaan dan kepedulian akan diri danterlebih bagi lingkungannya. Tahap selanjutnya yaitu perencanaan yang mencakup identifikasi kebutuhan danperencanaan. Perencanaan dilakukan agar program yang disusun sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan dapatmencapai tujuan. Pelaksanaan program dimaksudkan sebagai upaya-upaya yang dapat digunakan untuk lebihmendayagunakan potensi yang ada agar lebih berkembang yaitu dengan adanya pelatihan-pelatihanketrampilan dan pelatihan penambah wawasan yang diselenggarakan oleh pemuda di Kecamatan Dumoga.Kata Kunci: Pemberdayaan organisasi kepemudaanAbstract

Abstract

Abstract Community participation is a form of involvement of community members in all development which includes activities in planning and implementing development programs. Community participation in This form of participation supports the success of programs provided by the government.There are several forms of participation that the community can provide in a development program, namely money participation, property participation, energy participation, skills participation, idea participation, social participation, participation in the decision-making process, and representative participation. Of the varios forms of participation mentioned above, participation can be grouped into 2 types, namely forms of participation that are given in a real form (having a form) and also forms of participation that are given in an intangible foem (abstract). Tangible forms of participation include money, property, energy and skills, while intangible form of participation, social participation, decision making and representative participation. The aim of this research is to determine Community Prticipation in Development Planning in North Ambia Village. This research uses qualitative descriptive research methods. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and data collection with documents. Based on the results of research examined by researchers through observation, data collection and interview processes in Development Planning in North Ambia Village, South Essang District, Talaud Islands Regency, it is still not good. The community itself needs to increase awareness about participating in development planning in decision making, musrembang and participation in implementation. Abstract

This study examines the potential for tourism development on Mahoro Island, located in the Siau Tagulandang Biaro (Sitaro) Regency of North Sulawesi. 3A approach which focuses on attractions, amenities, and accessibility is utilized. The research adopts a qualitative methodology and follows systematic data analysis procedures as outlined by Miles and Huberman, including data disaggregation, clear presentation of findings, and the formulation of conclusions. The findings indicate that Mahoro Island possesses remarkable natural attractions, including exquisite white sandy beaches and an abundance of marine life. However, there are notable challenges; the management of these attractions is currently inadequate. Additionally, the island's amenities, such as accommodations and various services, are in need of significant enhancement. Furthermore, access to and navigation around the island are impeded by limited transportation options and suboptimal port facilities. To address these challenges, it is imperative to improve the management of tourist sites, upgrade the available facilities, and enhance transportation alternatives. Furthermore, fostering collaboration among government entities, tourism businesses, and local communities is crucial for achieving sustainable tourism development in the region. By focusing on these three components, we aim to position Mahoro Island as a premier tourist destination and contribute to the growth of the local economy.

Abstract

Floods are one of the most frequent natural disasters in Indonesia and have a wide impact on social, economic, and environmental life. In Manado, continuously from 2024, there are 10 sub-districts and 48 villages that are categorized as flood-prone areas. This study purposed to analyze strategies for increasing public awareness in flood-prone areas in Manado City, North Sulawesi Province. This study applied a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques were conducted through in-depth interviews with the Regional Disaster Management Agency of North Sulawesi Province and Manado, and communities in flood-prone locations, direct observation, and secondary data collection. Data analysis was conducted inductively with the stages of reduction, data presentation, interpretation, and conclusion. The results of the study showed that the strategy of socialization and training through print and electronic media was not yet effective. More relevant and targeted strategies include the formation and training of disaster-aware communities at the village level, direct face-to-face socialization, and taking action against community activities that can trigger flooding. These strategies are considered capable of increasing public awareness and preparedness in dealing with disasters, particularly floods.
