Abstract

This article will describe various kinds of expressions of teenagers on social media such as Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp, and others. The method used in this research is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The results of the study show that the majority of teenagers in Purwakarta use social media to share experiences through uploaded photos and statuses. Uploading self-expression through social media is carried out every day with high intensity. The expressions used generally function to express surprise or shock, pleasure, anger, sadness, and so on. The most used social media is Facebook. Adolescents' motivation in expressing themselves is due to the desire to express feelings and display personal photos as entertainment and to get responses from others. Their satisfaction is a source of pride in themselves. This satisfaction is generally influenced by the mood of teenagers who usually change. Self-expression for adolescents can also be interpreted as a place for self-existence driven by the desire to be known by many people (viral).Keywords: expression; interjection; social mediaAbstrak Artikel ini akan memaparkan berbagai macam ekspresi para remaja di media sosial seperti Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp, dan yang lainnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas remaja di Purwakarta menggunakan media sosial untuk berbagi pengalaman melalui foto dan status yang diunggah. Pengunggahan ekspresi diri melalui media sosial dilakukan setiap hari dengan intensitas yang tinggi. Ungkapan yang digunakan pada umumnya berfungsi untuk mengungkapkan   rasa kaget atau keterkejutan, rasa senang, rasa marah, rasa sedih, dan sebagainya. Media sosial yang paling sering digunakan adalah facebook. Motivasi remaja dalam mengeskpresikan diri karena adanya keinginan untuk mencurahkan perasaan dan menampilkan foto-foto pribadi sebagai hiburan dan agar mendapatkan respon dari orang lain. Kepuasan mereka menjadi kebanggaan terhadap dirinya sendiri. Kepuasan tersebut umumnya dipengaruhi oleh suasana hati remaja yang biasa berubah-ubah. Ekspresi diri bagi remaja bisa dimaknai pula sebagai ajang untuk esksistensi diri didorong oleh keinginan untuk dikenal banyak orang (viral). Kata kunci: ekspresi; interjeksi; media sosial.

Abstract

Research is based on the presence of symptoms that are widely discussed by the public about some of the gimmicks used and contain certain meanings presented by one of the presidential candidates during the presidential candidates' debate in 2024. The use of the gimmick triggered many comments and caused many interpretations. This study aims to find or study some violations in the use of language on social media Facebook/Twitter in comments related to gimmick-gimmick used at a debate that contains the meaning of words/sentences demeaning and insinuating. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data is collected using a refer and record technique. The results showed that in the form of speech acts considered demeaning/insulting there were 20 speeches, in Stirum/Diseufeumism there were 10 speeches. The most common form of speech acts found is a demeaning/insulting and insinuating speech act of 10 data.  Meanwhile, the least acts of speech that appeared in the 2024 vice presidential debate, namely the adverse speech acts.Keywords: forensic linguistics; gimmick;language use

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of love in interpersonal relationships between partners, friends, and in the work environment, between superiors and subordinates, which seeks to strengthening interpersonal relationships. The technique used in this study is a qualitative approach, with the field observation method and in-depth interviews with several couples/respondents as the sample. Data analysis in this study is to observe verbal and non-verbal interactions between twenty respondents/resource persons, including couples, superiors, subordinates, and friends, during the in-depth interview session. It can be seen that the results show that the use of informal, rich lexical language and non-verbal signals plays an important role in strengthening emotional bonds and increasing understanding between individuals. The results of the conversation data interview show that there are many differences between respondents and between one partner and another, depending on whether or not they have established a relationship. The findings show that the expression of love, both verbal and non-verbal, contributes significantly to satisfaction in their relationship. This study can also identify the five main love languages expressed by respondents, namely in the form of affirmation words, quality time, receiving gifts, service actions, and physical touch.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the forms of verbal communication patterns used by traders who sell in the Rebo of Purwakarta Regency for indigenous buyers and the obstacles encountered in the process of buying and selling. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method and a pragmatic approach. The data collection techniques used in this study include recording techniques, interviews, recording techniques, and documentary studies. While the research data concerns traders and buyers in buying and selling courses, the respondents are traders and men and women, young people, adults, or elderly who are in the rebo market area. Based on the results of research in the field, researchers obtained data according to which modes of communication of traders with buyers of Rebo took place mainly in a primary way, that is to say, face to face and using more than one language when buying and selling. reciprocal communication transactions between traders and buyers. Two-way communication follows in the negotiation process an explanation of the goods. At the same time, verbal communication occurs with questions and response between traders and buyers during the transaction. The language used in the purchasing process and in general is that of Sundanese, mixed and Indonesian traders, as they adapt to buyers.Keywords: patterns; traders; transactions of purchase; verbal communication
