Abstract

The Supervisor position in national education system is very strategic. Their duty to be an academic supervisor and evaluator to headmasters and teacher of madrasah s a subject to professional work. However, some researches have shown that supervisor professionalism level in Indonesia is still relatively low. The research tried to observe comprehensively on their academic, managerial, knowledge on research and development, personality, and social competencies. Research was done to collect data from supervisors in jabar with quantitative method, then analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The research aims to find the level of supervisor competency in jabar that hopefully can be beneficial for policies to improve their level of professionalism. Research showed that their level of competencies is average. Government needs to intensify activities to enhance their knowledge and skill in supervising, mentoring and coaching headmaster, teachers, researching, and building partnership. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the implementation of management standard policies in quality assurance for Madrasah in Cianjur Regency.  The approach used is descriptive qualitative with research techniques of observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Data collection was carried out through orientation, exploration, and member checks. The results showed that the implementation of madrasah management and quality assurance standards were quite optimal. It could be seen from the activities of planning programs, implementing programs, conducting program monitoring and evaluation as well as implementing effective leadership, constraints and solutions. Madrasas are quite capable of implementing management standards correctly although there are still many shortcomings, including, routine management activities, formalities, low awareness of the importance on quality, lack of regulation understandings, finance activities, and availability of facilities-infrastructure. The madrasas are respectively pesantren-based strategic places, collaboration ability to involve with the community, principal’s effective leadership, and high enthusiasm to improve the madrasah’s quality through implementing education management standards.Keywords: implementation; education management standards; madrasa quality

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the integration of religious moderation values within Indonesia’s national education curriculum, both in general education institutions under the Ministry of Education and Culture and in religious institutions under the Ministry of Religious Affairs. This study is motivated by the need to strengthen moderate religious character in response to the rising threat of radicalism and intolerance in educational environments. Employing a qualitative method through a descriptive-analytical approach of curriculum policy documents and institutional practices, this article finds that the Merdeka Curriculum and its projects—Pancasila Student Profile (P5) and the Rahmatan lil ‘Alamin Student Profile (PPRA)—have incorporated religious moderation values. These include tolerance, civility, balance, and openness to diversity. The findings show that although the curriculum accommodates these values, challenges remain in its implementation, particularly regarding teacher competence, teaching resources, and the influence of digital information. Therefore, the article recommends strengthening teacher training, regulating digital religious content, and fostering synergy between government, schools, and communities to embed inclusive and moderate religious values in the curriculum. Keywords: Religious Moderation; National Curriculum; Character Education; Pancasila Student Profile; Islamic Education

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of parenting styles on students’ religious character, with worship discipline as a mediating factor. It addresses a research gap by integrating parenting and religious habituation into a single model of character formation. Using a quantitative approach with correlational-verification design, the study surveyed 200 junior high school students in Cianjur, Indonesia. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that parenting style has a significant effect on both worship discipline and religious character, with worship discipline acting as a partial mediator. The model demonstrates good fit and predictive relevance (Q² > 0.5), highlighting the crucial role of family-based religious routines. These findings suggest that religious character can be strengthened through consistent parental involvement and structured spiritual practices at home. The study offers a novel empirical contribution by positioning worship discipline as a behavioral bridge between parenting and religious values in youth development.
