Abstract

Penerapan Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang rak sepatu yang menggunakan teknik konstruksi alur dan lidah, dengan fokus pada kekuatan, kepraktisan, dan estetika desain. Konstruksi menerapkan alur dan lidah dengan pertimbangan memiliki kemampuan untuk meningkatkan stabilitas dan daya tahan rak sepatu, tanpa memerlukan penggunaan sekrup atau paku tambahan. Perancangan dilakukan melalui analisis material, pengujian kekuatan sambungan, serta evaluasi fungsional dan estetika. Metode perancangan menggunakan pola pikir desain thinking yaitu melalui definisi, teliti, gagas, kembang dan implementasi. Sehingga cara berpikir secara dinamis akan mendorong ragam pendekatan dan tindakan yang didasari keinginan untuk menciptakan inovasi sebagai solusi produk. Hasil akhir berupa desain rak sepatu modular yang dapat dirakit dengan mudah, ramah lingkungan, dan memenuhi kebutuhan penyimpanan yang efisien. Rancangan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi inovatif dalam penyimpanan sepatu serta memberikan kontribusi pada perkembangan desain produk yang lebih praktis dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Nahdlatul Ulama Higher Education Foundation (YAPTINU) Jepara, established by the Head of the Ma'arif Jepara Educational Institution (LP) Branch on March 17, 1989 with the notary deed of Benyamin Kusuma, SH number 5, 1989 which manages three tertiary institutions, namely the first: the Islamic Nahdlatul Ulama Institute (INISNU) Jepara which has a scientific concentration in the religious field which consists of the faculties: Tarbiyah, Sharia, and Dakwa. The second is the Nahdlatul Ulama College of Economics (STIENU) Jepara which has a scientific concentration in the economics field with Study Programs: Accounting (S 1), and Management (S 1). The third is the Nahdlatul Ulama College of Technology and Design (STTDNU) Jepara which has a concentration in technology and design with Study Programs: Industrial Engineering (S 1) and Product Design (S 1). In carrying out the duties and functions of each tertiary institution according to their field, and this is what makes the three of them different, on the other hand it will actually give a color that is an attraction for the people in Jepara and its surroundings. Lecturers as teaching staff at tertiary institutions under the auspices of YAPTINU, have the task of carrying out the tridharma of higher education which includes education and teaching, research and community service. Of the three activities, it shows that the performance of YAPTINU lecturers has not fully met expectations, and also that the problem of job satisfaction of lecturers has not been fully achieved.

Abstract

Perancangan meja rias dari kayu mahoni solid yang mengedepankan fungsionalitas dan estetika. Dengan semakin terbatasnya ruang hunian, desain minimalis menjadi solusi efektif untuk menciptakan interior yang efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan desain meja rias yang tidak hanya memenuhi kebutuhan pengguna dalam berias, tetapi juga memberikan kesan elegan dan rapi dengan memanfaatkan keindahan alami kayu mahoni .Metode perancangan dimulai dari studi literatur dan observasi pasar untuk memahami tren desain minimalis serta karakteristik material kayu mahoni. Selanjutnya, dilakukan eksplorasi bentuk, detail konstruksi, dan mekanisme penyimpanan yang tersembunsi. Hasil dari perancangan ini adalah prototipe meja rias yang menggabungkan garis-garis sederhana, penyimpanan tersembunyi, dan sentuhan finishing alami. Rancangan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi industri mebel dalam menciptakan produk yang inovatif dan sesuai dengan gaya hidup modern

Abstract

This study aims to design a multifunctional educational table for preschool children by considering aspects of ergonomics, safety, educational functions, and material sustainability. The study uses a participatory approach combined with the Design Thinking method through the stages of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. In the empathize stage, the researchers explored user needs through observation and interviews with early childhood teachers to understand the problems that arise when children use conventional tables. The define stage resulted in a problem formulation related to the incompatibility of table dimensions, limited functionality, and lack of safety features. Concept ideation was carried out by producing alternative table designs that are stable, ergonomic, have storage space, and utilize furniture waste as the main material. Next, the researchers created a prototype in the form of a miniature table with dimensions and features tailored to the developmental needs of preschool children. The testing stage showed positive responses from teachers as evaluators, who assessed that the table design met the aspects of safety, functionality, and comfort for children. These results show that the Design Thinking approach is effective in producing educational furniture concepts that meet user needs.
