ABSTRAK Sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas merupakan salah satu penunjang pembangunan suatu bangsa, pendidikan adalah salah satu cara untuk membentuk kualitas sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas. Pembentukan kualitas sumber daya manusia melalui pendidikan sangat ditentukan oleh proses pembelajaran. Peneliti menerapkan model pembelajaran Talking stick pada mata diklat stenografi untuk membiasakan siswa mengingat kembali materi yang telah di ajarkan guru serta melatih keaktifan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran Talking Stickpada mata diklat stenografi di kelas XI AP 1 SMK Islam Krembung, serta mendeskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran Talking Stick. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Classroom Action Research). Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus dan peneliti bertindak sebagai pengamat di dalam kelas. Dari kegiatan belajar mengajar yang telah dilaksanakan, maka dapat dilihat bahwa hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Talking Stick mulai siklus I hingga siklus II selalu mengalami peningkatan. Dimana pada siklus I hasil rata-ratapre test 66,74post test 74,65 sedangkan pada siklus II nilai rata-rata pre test 78,97 dan post test 87,25. Kata kunci :Talking Stick, Hasil Belajar, Stenografi ABSTRACT The human resources with such a great quality is a kind of support for the development of a nation, education is one of the means to build human resources with a high quality. The quality building of human resources though education is strongly determined by the learning process. The researcher applied the Talking Stick teaching model on stenography traning subject in order to make the students get used themselves to recall the topics that have been taught by the techers as well as train the students activeness on the learning process. The purpose of this reseach is to describe the application of Talking Stick teaching model on stenography training subject in class XI AP 1 SMK Islam Krembung as well as describe the enhancements of students study outcomes after applying the Talking Stick teaching model. This reseach is in the Classroom Action Reseach type, the reseach was implemented in 2 cycles and the researcher acted as the observer in the classroom.It could be observed from the teaching and learning activity that had been done that the students study outcomes from the learning using Talking Stick learning method since the first cycle to the second cycle had always experienced the enhancements of which the average result of pre test was 66,74 and post test was 74,65 in the first cycle and 78,97 and 87,25 for the average result of pre test and post test respectively in the second cycle.
