Abstract

The exsistence of informal sector in the cities is part of both macro and micro economic system. Implicity, the informal sector is needed and, indeed, its emergence conversely helps the formal sector. However, it is necessary to understand that some people resist its emergence and existence. Apart from the remark that the informal sector still needs some justification and approaches in order to minimize and to remove the resulted impacts, what is more important to know  is that the incomes obtained  from this sector are quite  sufficient to ful fit the daily minimum basic needs. The objective of the study is to know the influence of the internal variables on the operational incomes of the street vendors. The internal variables consist of such independent variables as Personnel (X1), Finance/Capital (X2), Marketing (X3), and a dependent variable of Operational Incomes (Y). Therefore , the methodology concerning the objective pursued is as folloows: The data are colled  using closed  quistionnaires and purposive sampling. Its sample consists of 70 respondents. Then, the collected data are  analyzed  using a computer program of SPSS 12.00 n order to know their correlations and regressions. Based on the data nalyis, it is partially proven that all the internal variables have a positive correlation with the operational incomes, being seen from the correlational coefficient (r) of X1 =0.623 (P=0.000), X2 = 0.638 (P=0.000), X3 = 0.786 (P=0.000). Partially, all the internal variables have a significant influence on the operational incomes, being proven by the finding that the t table values of X1 = 4.959 (P=0.000), of X2 =3.972 (P=0.000) and of X3=7.017 >the t table value on DF (67:0.05) of 1.67. Simultaneously, the internal variables (X1,X2,X3) have a significant influence on the operational incomes, being proven by the finding that the F calc on DF (3:73:0.05) of 2.75. The contribution of each internal variable to the dependent variabel is that Operational Incomes : Personnel (X1) =32.37 %, Finance/Capital (X2) = 27,4% and Marketing (X3) = 50.7%. The internal varible having the most dominant influence on the operational incomes is Marketing (X3). Next, the amount of the influence can be simultaneously seen from the resulting R square of 0.774, meaning that the contribution of the internal variables simultaneously to the dependent variable is 77.4% where as  the remaining 22.6% is influenced by other variables being not studied

Abstract

Assessment is an essential element in learning activities. Teaching-learning activities need an assessment to measure the learning progress to achieve the objectives. However, the pandemic caused a change in learning activities, leading to changes in the assessment process. This article aims to depict the assessment of the muthola'ah course during the Covid-19 pandemic. Moreover, this article used a qualitative method and employed a case study approach. The analysis in this article used the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. This research was conducted at the Department of Arabic Language Education IAIN Ponorogo. This study indicated that the Taqdim Qissoh in the video was the suitable and effective way to assess muthola'ah material during the Covid-19 pandemic. This method could increase students' enthusiasm for preparing assessment material for Taqdim Qissoh. In addition, this method also eased the other students to understand the muthola'ah material. It also exercised the students’ analysis skills to determine the mistake of the Taqdim Qissoh process so they wouldn’t make the same mistakes later.

Abstract

Self-awareness allows individuals to be more aware of how they respond to lodge policies and regulations. They will be better able to be aware of these policies and regulations in influencing their behavior, attitudes, thought patterns, and competency development. This research explores the role of self-awareness in mediating the influence of Islamic boarding school policies and regulations and competency development. Quantitative methods with PLS-SEM analysis were used to test the feasibility of discriminant validity and research hypotheses. Data was collected through a questionnaire with 50 students at the Al-Idris Islamic Boarding School, Banyudono, Ponorogo using the purposive sampling method. The results of the analysis show that Islamic boarding school policies have a significant positive effect on self-awareness (β=0.521; ρ=0.000) and competency development (β=0.295; ρ=0.014). Furthermore, self-awareness was proven not to mediate the influence of policies (β=0.125; ρ=0.103) and Islamic boarding school regulations (β=0.075; ρ=0.129) on the competency development of students. The research results show that student self-awareness is strongly influenced by Islamic boarding school policies and regulations, which in turn support the development of student Competency. The implications of this study show the importance of education that focuses on developing students' self-awareness as part of efforts to prepare them to participate actively in society. The suggestion from this study is that Islamic boarding school education should focus more on developing self-awareness as a strategic step in developing their competency.

Abstract

Abstrak: Salah satu keterampilan berbahasa yang empat adalah keterampilan membaca. Keterampilan ini meskipun dikatagorikan sebagai keterampilan berbahasa pasif, namun keterampilan ini merupakan keterampilan yang sangat penting terutama bagi mahasiswa jurusan pendidikan bahasa arab. Hal tersebut dikarenakan ia menjadi jendela untuk mengetahui dan memahami berbagai referensi dan literatur kebahasa araban yang mayoritas memang masih tertulis dengan Bahasa al-qur’an ini. Jurusan pendidikan bahasa arab IAIN Ponorogo dengan segala keterbatasannya telah berupaya untuk melakukan berbagai upaya agar pengajaran keterampilan ini berhasil sesuai goal yang diharapkan. Artikel sederhana ini akan mengurai hal tersebut dari dua sisi yaitu dari sisi content yang diajarkan dan metode yang digunakan. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan analisis model interaktif yang digagas oleh Miles dan Huberman, artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa content keterampilan membaca yang diajarkan telah mengikuti teori Rushdī Ţu’aimah yang mengatakan bahwa content tersebut haruslah tertulis dengan bahasa arab fuşħâ, sesuai dengan kecenderungan dan usia pembelajar, serta terdiri dari berbagai kosa kata yang saling terkait. Di samping itu, metode yang digunakan adalah metode membaca yang dimulai dengan pengenalan bunyi bahasa dan diakhiri dengan pengungkapan content dengan bahasa arab oleh pembelajar.
