Abstract

Sawi hijau (Brassica rapa var. parachinensis) merupakan jenis sayuran yang banyak diminati masyarakat. Dalam proses budidayanya, kualitas perairan yang baik merupakan salah satu faktor utama dalam pemenuhan unsur hara. Kadar Pb di Kali Surabaya di daerah Karang Pilang melebihi ambang batas yaitu sebesar 0,891 ppm, hal ini membuktikan bahwa kali Surabaya tercemar logam berat Pb. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perubahan struktur daun sawi hijau yang ditumbuhkan di lingkungan yang tercemar Pb. Desain penelitian adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan satu faktor perlakuan, yaitu perbedaan konsentrasi larutan logam berat timbal (1 ppm, 3 ppm, dan 5 ppm). Daun sawi hijau pada nodus ke tiga dari pangkal dipotong ujung, tengah, dan pangkal untuk digunakan sebagai preparat dan dihitung ketebalan mesofil serta indeks stomata. Daun sawi hijau pada nodus keempat dari pangkal dihitung kadar klorofilnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perubahan tebal mesofil yang paling tinggi terjadi pada jaringan mesofil yang diberi perlakuan Pb 5 ppm, yaitu sebesar 65,83 µm. Pada sawi yang terpapar Pb 5 ppm, indeks stomata juga mengalami penurunan menjadi 0,2317. Kadar klorofil pada daun yang terpapar Pb 5 ppm juga menurun menjadi 0,083 ml/g. Semakin tinggi konsentrasi logam berat Pb pada Brasicca rapa var. parachinensis, maka semakin menurun tebal mesofil, indeks stomata, dan kadar klorofilnya.   Kata Kunci: jaringan mesofil; struktur anatomi daun; timbal; sawi hijau; klorofil

Abstract

In the post-pandemic era, many interactive activities have been flexibly generated through virtual conditions. Accordingly, some problems could appear in terms of leadership, such as difficulties in maintaining the audience’s attention during the event. Thus, the utilization of a command-based leadership style that could straightforwardly maintain audience focus ought to be considered to be adopted. However, both the command-based leadership style and its prospective aspects have not been widely understood by society. This community service aims to deliver a proper understanding of the command-based leadership style through interactive virtual discussion between experts in teaching activities of defense-based science and society consisting of Indonesian teachers, high school students as well as academics. Statistical results of pre-test and post-test scores showed enhancement of the participants’ understanding of command-based leadership. Hopefully, some relevant aspects of their new perspective of command-based leadership can be properly adopted and effectively implemented to answer current challenges, such as in terms of managing people in virtual conditions.

Abstract

Durian, known as the "King of Fruits" in Southeast Asia, is economically important in Indonesia, particularly in Riau Province. It not only serves as a local delicacy but also has export and agro-tourism potential. However, data from the Riau Central Statistics Agency (BPS) show fluctuating plantation areas and production rates from 2019 to 2022, with a decrease in plantation areas but varying production levels, peaking in 2022. These fluctuations affect durian rind waste generation, posing environmental concerns. Preliminary studies suggest that current waste management practices are inadequate despite the potential for converting durian rinds into useful products like organic fertilizers or biofuels. This study aims to analyze plantation areas, production rates, and durian rind waste generation in Riau while evaluating consumer attitudes and behaviors regarding waste management. It employs both quantitative methods, such as data collection from BPS and field surveys, and primary methods like questionnaires. Analysis includes descriptive statistics and ANOVA tests to assess waste generation differences across sales locations. The findings indicate significant fluctuations in plantation areas and production, with Kampar district leading in both categories. High waste generation rates underscore the need for improved management strategies. Although consumer surveys show awareness of waste issues, practical implementation lags. This research provides insights into optimizing durian production and waste management, aiming to balance economic benefits with environmental sustainability in Riau Province.

Abstract

Anak dengan stunting memiliki kemampuan verbal dan IQ rendah, disabilitas kognitif, penurunan kemampuan motorik dan gangguan fungsi imunitas. Perlu pemberian makanan tambahan (PMT) sebagai pendamping program suplementasi pemerintah pada ibu hamil untuk meningkatkan status gizi ibu hamil dan mencegah stunting dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas SDM bagi pertahanan negara.  Mendapatkan formulasi fortifikasi cookies yang sesuai kebutuhan ibu hamil untuk mencegah stunting. Formulasi cookies berawal dari  pembuatan tepung (tempe, kacang hijau, ikan tuna, pisang), dilanjutkan dengan formulasi tepung  komposit. Rancangan metode optimasi tepung komposit RSM mixture design D-optimal, menggunakan software Design Expert 7.0 trial (DX 7 trial). Kandungan zat gizi bahan pangan yang digunakan lalu dibandingkan dengan jumlah zat gizi yang ingin ditambahkan. Formula tepung komposit dipilih berdasarkan kandungan gizi dan rasa. Substitusi tepung beras dengan tepung komposit terpilih pada resep  standar. Cookies berbentuk bulat, aroma, rasa, warna, kenampakan sesuai SNI01-2891-1992, BUTIR1.2. Kandungan protein, energi, vitamin A, B12, calsium, pospor, iodium, asam folat memenuhi AKG ibu hamil trimester II dan persyaratan BPOM. 70% ibu hamil trimester II menyukai cookies. Cookies ikan tuna dapat digunakan sebagai PMT ibu hamil pendamping program suplementasi pemerintah untuk mencegah stunting 180 HPK.
