Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the existential drama Oh, Edan, and Dag Dig Dug works of Putu Wijaya which include: (a) freedom, (b) anxiety, (c) the failure, (d) the futility, (e) death, (2) describe absurdism in drama  Ah, Edan, and Dag Dig Dug by Putu Wijaya which includes: (a) suicide philosophical, (b) the nature of the symbolic,  and  (c) of tragedy and comedy. This study focuses on (1) existentialism in the drama Oh, Edan, and Dag Dig Dug  by  Putu Wijaya which include: (a) freedom, (b) anxiety, (c) the failure, (d) the futility, (e) death and (2) absurdism in drama Ah, Edan, and Dag Dig Dug. This study is qualitative research, using descriptive qualitative research data collection. Descriptive method is a method which seeks to describe a phenomenon, the events that occurred at that time. In this study, descriptive method is used  to describe the concept of existentialism and absurdism. This research data  use  existantialism theory  and absurdism in playwrights  by PutuWijaya. By using the technique with  the  data source in the form of three plays, the relevant data collection technique is a technique read. Reading the drama text data collection activities conducted by member?s attention totally focused on the object. Reading and listening is a set of techniques to obtain valid data followed by activities recorded data. This study concluded five concepts of existentialism and three concepts of absurdism. The results showed that existentialism in the drama Oh, Edan, Dag Dig Dug by Putu Wijaya, looked  in terms of freedom, anxiety, failure, futility, and  death.  Three absurdism concepts  in drama Ah, Edan, Dag Dig Dug  by  Putu Wijaya looked through suicide philosophical, symbolic nature, tragedy and comedy.

Abstract

This study aims to find magical realism in the Bantengan performance, find namely the irreducible elements, the phenomenal world, merging realms, the unsettling doubts, and disruptions of time, space, and identity at the Bantengan show. The method used to reveal these aspects is a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach. Theoretically, this research finds magical realism. Practically for researchers, this research is expected to broaden scientific horizons and can be used as a guide to carry out research, especially about traditions that develop in society. For the community, this research is expected to provide an overview of the actual Bantengan performance and provide knowledge to the public that the art of Bantengan contains the meaning of a performance that contains the value of magical realism. The results of this study: 1. The irreducible elements namely Cakepan in the art of bantengan are read as if telling the figure of a bull in the performance arena, furthermore it is used as advice and a medium for conveying messages to the public. 2. the phenomenal world, namely the movements in the Banteng symbolizing the life of the Banteng animal as an authoritative and strong base or forest animal, 3. merging realms, namely between types of religious magical beliefs and Islam there is a harmonious blend, as seen by the reading of prayers that derived from the verses of the Koran at the ceremony, 4. the unsettling doubts, namely the public's belief is still visible in the giving of offerings or offerings before holding a bantengan presentation, 5. disruptions of time, space and identity namely Bantengan and ndadi being one of the elements of the show that cannot be separated, so that it becomes a special attraction for the community.

Abstract

AbstractLearning material about facts and opinions is still difficult for grade VIII students because there is no media that supports interesting learning activities. For this reason, farmer caping media were chosen in learning facts and opinion sentences for supporting sociological and geographical reasons. said the farmer in this study is the acronym for the sentence game fakTA and opiNI (Farmers). The type of research that will be used in this research is experimental research with the method of developing the R&D model (research and development). This development research uses the Four-D-Model (4D) model. This 4D model has four stages, namely (1) Define; (2) Design; (3) Develop ; and (4) Disseminate. The sample in this research is 48 student of class VIII  SMP Negeri 3 Gondang in Mojokerto-Jawa Timur. The instruments used in this study were student response questionnaire sheets, teacher and student activity observation sheets, and learning outcomes tests. Student learning outcomes in the form of test scores were analyzed with the help of commercial software to determine the effectiveness of the class that applied the learning media used during the teaching and learning process. The results show that the use of learning media in the form of farmer hat is very effective (applied to the experimental class) compared to conventional learning (in the control class). The pre-test and post-test mean scores in the experimental class were 49.17 and 85.83, respectively, while those in the control class were 64.58 and 79.17. The difference between the mean pre-test and post-test scores between the experimental class and the control class was 36.66 and 14.59, respectively. Meanwhile, the significance value of the two classes is 0.000 (sig.2-tailed) less than 0.05
