Abstract

This study aims to determine the performance and effectiveness of Fintech Office Bank Indonesia in risk management and consumer protection for the smooth payment system. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative data collection methods through interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study stated that Financial technology (fintech) was proven to bring benefits and potential risks which if not managed properly could disrupt the smooth operation of the payment system. The effectiveness of Fintech Office BI is supported by integration and adaptation factors, namely the ability to conduct socialization and communication through four stages namely education, consultation, facilitation and supervision as well as six methods of approach through mentoring, capacity building, connecting, swing, slide and sandbox. But on the other hand, the effectiveness of Fintech Office BI is constrained in achieving its objectives. This is due to the absence of certain time limits in order to achieve the vision and mission, as well as long-term and short-term plans that have been set.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja dan efektivitas Fintech Office Bank Indonesia dalam manajemen risiko dan perlindungan konsumen untuk kelancaran sistem pembayaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode pengumpulan data kualitatif deskriptif ini melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa Financial technology (fintech) terbukti membawa manfaat dan potensi risiko yang apabila tidak dimanajemen dengan baik dapat mengganggu kelancaran sistem pembayaran. Efektivitas Fintech Office BI didukung oleh faktor integrasi dan adaptasi, yaitu kemampuan mengadakan sosialisasi dan komunikasi melalui empat tahap yakni edukasi, konsultasi, fasilitasi dan pengawasan serta enam metode pendekatan melalui mentoring, capacity building, connecting, swing, slide dan sandbox. Namun disisi lain, efektivitas Fintech Office BI terkendala dalam pencapain tujuan. Hal ini disebabkan karena tidak adanya batasan waktu tertentu dalam rangka mencapai visi dan misi, serta rencana jangka panjang dan jangka pendek yang telah ditetapkan.
