<![CDATA[ABSTRAKTulisan ini bertujuan untuk melihat dan menelaah fungsi lembaga kepolisian dalam menjalankanfungsi memelihara kemanan dan ketertiban, penegakan hukum serta memberikan perlindungan, pengayomandan pelayanan kepada masyarakat. Tulisan ini lebih memfokuskan untuk melihat bagaimana peranankepolisian sector Butumoito dalam penanggulangan produksi cap tikus di Desa Rumbia. Hasil penelitianmenunjukan bahwa Polsek Butumoito sangat efektif dalam menjalankan tugas dan fungsi seperti apa yangdiamanahkan dalam UU No. 2 Tahun 2002. Namun ada beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi diantaranyaadalah faktor lingkungan/kondisi sumber daya alam yang sangat menjanjikan kebutuhan ekonomi masyarakatRumbia dengan keberadaan pohon aren serta faktor kebutuhan ekonomi. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkanmenjadi kontribusi pemikiran bagi pemangku kepentingan, baik Polsek Butumoito maupun Pemerintah DaerahBoalemo dalam menyikapi masalah produksi cap tikus di desa Rumbia Kecamatan Butumoito KabupatenBoalemo.Kata Kunci : Peranan, Polsek Butumoito, Cap Tikus, RumbiaABSTRACTThis paper aims to see and examine the function of the police institution in carrying out the functions ofmaintaining security and order, law enforcement and providing protection, protection and service to thecommunity. This paper focuses more on seeing the role of the Butumoito police sector in tackling cap tikusproduction in Rumbia Village. The results showed that the Butumoito Sector Police were very effective incarrying out the duties and functions as mandated in Law No. 2 of 2002. However, there are several factors thatinfluence them, including environmental factors / natural resource conditions that are very promising theeconomic needs of the Rumbia community with the presence of palm trees and economic need factors.
