Abstract

This research was conducted in Class IX-13 SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja in odd semester of 2016/2017, with condition of learning achievement of IPA not yet fulfill KKM. The purpose of this classroom action research is to improve students' learning achievement through experimental methods. The method of data collection through the test of learning achievement, which then analyzed by using descriptive method quantitative. The data were presented in the form of average learning achievement and learning mastery procession. The results obtained from this study is the students' learning achievement initially averaged only 73.56 with mastery learning 52.78%, then after the implementation of Cycle I student achievement increased to an average of 79.22 with learning completeness reached 83.33 %. Cycle II also happened improvement of student achievement reach 79,76 and learning comprehension 86,11%. The conclusion obtained from this research is Implementation of experimental method can improve student achievement in class IX-13 odd semester, academic year 2016/2017.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan prestasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA melalui Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui observasi aktivitas siswa dalam proses pembelajaran dan tes prestasi belajar, yang selanjutnya dianalisis  dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif unruk data aktivitas siswa dalam proses pembelajaran, serta deskriptif kuantitatif untuk data hassil test prestasi belajar. Data disajikan dalam bentuk rata-rata dan prosesntase ketuntasan belajar. Penerapan model pembelajaran Inkuiri Termimbing secara positif dapat merubah kualitias pembelajaran IPA, dibuktikan dengan adanya perkembangan prestasi belajar. Pada awalnya rata-rata prestasi belajar siswa hanya 72,48 dengan ketuntasan belajar hanya 44,74 %, selanjutnya setelah pelaksanaan Siklus I rata-rata prestasi belajar meningkat menjadi 77,33 Ketuntasan belajar juga terjadi peningkatan sehingga mencapai 73,68%. Pada Siklus II rata-rata prestasi belajar mencapai rata-rata 79,62 dan ketuntasan belajar 89,47 %. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar IPA siswa pada kelas IX-7 SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja smester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2017/2018

Abstract

This research was conducted in Class IX-8 of Singaraja 2 Public Middle School in the even semester of the 2017/2018 school year, with the aim of improving student learning achievement in science learning by applying discovery methods. Data was collected through a learning achievement tests. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive methods. Data was presented in the form of average learning achievement and learning completeness process. The results showed that the learning achievement at the beginning of the average student learning achievement was only 73.63 with learning completeness only 40.74%, then after the implementation of the study it turned out that the student's learning achievement in the first cycle became an average of 79.81. With learning completeness reaching 59.26%, and in the second cycle student learning achievement reached an average of 82.61 with 88.89% learning completeness. Thus the conclusion of this study is that the application of the discovery method can improve student learning achievement in class IX-8 Singaraja SMP Negeri 2 semester even academic year 2017/2018 Keywords: discovery learning method, learning achievement
