Abstract

AbstractThe title of this thesis “The Influence of Student Motivation on Sociology Learning Outcome Class X IIS SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak”. The common problem studies “How the influence of students’ motivation on learning outcome of sociology class X IIS SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak?”. The method used is descriptive method and form of study correlation. Total population is 120 respondents and sample is 93 respondents. Data collection technique used indirect communication technique and documentation techniques. The technique processing and data analysis using Simple Linear Regression with SPSS 23 program. The results of the research prove that the students’ motivation class X IIS SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak is low with percentage 38,7%. The percentage of sociology learning outcome class X IIS is low (35,5%). The result of hypothesis testing shows there is a positive and significant influence between students’ learning motivation on student learning outcome with tcound (2,467) > ttabel (1,987). Regression equation Y = 38,54 + 0,253X, indicating student’s learning motivation incress one, sociology learning outcome class X IIS increase 0,253. Adjusted R Square = 0,52 it means contribution influence of students learning motivation toward sociology learning outcome class X IIS SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak including medium category with 52%. Keywords: Student Motivation, Sociology Learning OutcomeÂ
