Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to improve listening skills through the use of media in children's picture books early childhood Sejahtera Group A East Pontianak, as mentioned characters in the stories, showing pictures relating to the story, and answer questions about the story. This research is a classroom action research. The methods used in data collection are observation, interviews and documentation taken during the learning process. The analysis technique used in this research is quantitative descriptive. This study was conducted in two cycles, each cycle lasts for three meetings. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation by means of collecting data in the form of sheets observation of the child and teacher observation sheet, then the data obtained are presented, analyzed and summarized. Based on the research that has been done and This analysis of data, it can generally be concluded that the child can practice listening skills through the use of media with a good picture books.
