Abstract

Abstract Guidance and counseling services for children as the help given to children in developing optimal developmental aspects. The goal is making the children to be responsible and independent individuals in resolving their problems. The research question was how the form of planning, implementation, evaluation, and inhibiting factors of the guidance and counseling for children in kindergarten Kemala Bhayangkari 13 Pontianak Kota. The method was descriptive method, with the form of qualitative research and case study approach to two children from class A and B4. Source of data derived from interview with the headmaster of the kindergarten, teachers and parents, observation result and documentary study. The results of this study described the form of planning which includes the identification of the learners’ problem through the child’s personal data form. Implementation included the data collection service, information, counseling, placement and evaluation and follow-up which had been completed properly. Evaluation included correspondence between the program and the implementation, adherence to the program, barriers, children’s, teachers’ and parents’ responses and the change in progress in giving guidance was also run as a whole. Inhibiting factors encountered were shortage of guidance personnel, inadequate facilities and infrastructures and undone supervision in kindergarten. Implementation of inclusive education for early childhood at RA Raudatul Athfal As-Sajdah Makkiyah North Pontianak Azzahra, Nurma Annisa

Abstract

Inclusive education is an educational service that includes children with special needs together with children their age in regular schools. RA As-Sajdah Makkiyah is one of the inclusive education programs in Pontianak City. Based on the results of observations, there is one deaf child in class A and several teachers who do not understand the existence of inclusive education because they are new teachers, so in class learning they do not use learning models that can help the teaching and learning process in inclusive classes. The research focus in this study is the implementation of inclusive education at RA As-Sajdah Makiyah Pontianak. Researchers use qualitative research. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Primary data in this research was obtained from direct interviews with school principals and teachers, while secondary data included documentation, RPPH and the curriculum implemented in schools. Data collection techniques in this research are observation, documentation and interviews. The results of RA As-Sajdah Makkiyah Pontianak's research used the 2013 curriculum adapted from the government, but for children with special needs, the class teacher made a modified curriculum according to the abilities of children with special needs. The approach to crew members is an individual approach. The learning process in terms of learning objectives and learning materials used is the same for regular children and ABK, the difference is that ABK do not have special accompanying teachers like other inclusive schools.

Abstract

Pemecahan masalah adalah diantara bentuk kemampuan kognitif yang penting dikembangkan sejak usia dini. Banyak metode untuk mengembangkan kemampuan ini, satu diantaranya adalah melalui metode problem solving. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana efektivitas penggunaan metode problem solving dengan dukungan media rumah matematika dalam mengembangkan kemampuan kognitif anak usia dini. Pendekatan penelitian yang peneliti gunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan jenis eksperimen. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu anak usia dini yang ada di kelas B1 dan B2 TK Islamiyah Pontianak. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik total sampling, sedangkan data dikumpulkan melalui teknik observasi, teknik tes dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitan menunjukkan bahwa, perkembangan kognitif anak di kelas kontrol sebelum menggunakan metode problem solving berbantuan media rumah matematika belum berkembang dengan baik, dengan perolehan nilai total skor sebesar 1130. Sementara, pada kelas eksperimen, kemampuan kognitif anak mengalami peningkatan yaitu dengan total perolehan skor sebesar 1205. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka, penggunaan metode problem solving berbantuan media Rumah Matematika dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif anak usia dini. Problem solving is one of the forms of cognitive ability that is important to develop from an early age. There are many methods to develop this ability, one of which is through the problem-solving method. This study aims to determine the extent of the effectiveness of the use of problem-solving methods with the support of mathematics-based home media in developing early childhood cognitive abilities. The research approach used by the researcher is a quantitative type of experiment. The sample in this study is early childhood in grades B1 and B2 of Pontianak Islamiyah Kindergarten. Sampling was carried out using the total sampling technique, while data was collected through observation techniques, test techniques, and documentation. The results of the research show that the cognitive development of children in the control class before using the problem-solving method assisted by mathematics home media has not developed well, with a total score of 1130. Meanwhile, in the experimental class, the child’s cognitive ability has increased, with a total score of 1205. Based on this, the use of the problem-solving method assisted by the mathematics home medium can improve the cognitive abilities of early childhood.
