Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to determine the effect : (1) principal training program on the principal performance at elementary school in Landak Disctrict (2) the achievement motivation on the principal performance at elementary school in Landak Disctrict (3) both of principal training program and achievement motivation on the principal performance at elementary school in Landak Disctrict. This research is associative research of causal type with quantitative research approach.The population in this research are 32 principals at elementary school in Landak District. Data resource that used in this research are (a) principals (b) teacher?s assessment (c) secondary data from the result of principal training program, which is a score list of training participants that obtained from LPMP West Borneo. The instruments used in this research is the form of likert scale questionnaires.Hypotesis testing performed in this study using multiple regression techniques. The result showed that: (1) there is an influence of the result of principal training program (X1) on principal performance (Y) of 65.3%; (2) there is an influence of achievement motivation (X2) on principal performance (Y) of 26.6%; and (3) there is an influence of both the result of principal training program (X1) and achievement motivation (X2) on principal performance (Y) of 71.8%. The conclusion of this research is the result of principal training program and achievement motivation have positive and significant effect on principal performance at elementary school in Landak District. More higher the result of principal training program and achievement motivation, more higher the performance that principal?s had.
