<![CDATA[Abstract: The Application of Guided Note Taking Method in Improving Social Science Learning. The objective of this research is to improve social science learning about the struggle during independence for the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 4 Bumirejo through the application of Guided Note Taking. This research is a collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted within three cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Subjects of the research were 28 students of the fifth grade of SD Negeri 4 Bumirejo. Techniques of collecting data were observation, interview, test, and documentation. The result of this research shows that the application of Guided Note Taking method can improve social science learning about the struggle during independence. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS tentang perjuangan masa kemerdekaan pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 4 Bumirejo Kebumen dengan menggunakan metode Guided Note Taking. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas sebanyak tiga siklus, setiap siklus mencakup perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi.
