Abstract

Abstract Hypertension has become a major problem in elderly health, Surabaya City Health Office in 2014 recorded hypertension that occurs in the elderly as much as 19.56%. In the last data of elderly people with hypertension in February 2018 at Kebonsari Public Health Center there are 300 cases of men as many as 113 people and women 187 people.  The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of elderly gymnastics and walking on the decrease in blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension. The type of research used is Quasi Experimental Design. By using two-group pre-test post-test design. Instrument research in the form of elderly gymnastics and walking with duration 40 to 50 minutes done 3 times a week for 1.5 months. The test instrument measures blood pressure using a Spygmomanometer. Analysis of data used to process the results of research using t test (paired sample t-test) with a significant level of 0.05. Based on the results of the calculations have been done using SPSS application 22. Group gymnastics elderly average first tests and last tests systolic 163.1 mmHg to be 136 mmHg. On diastolic 108.9 to be 82 mmHg. While on group walk average first tests and last tests systolic 164.8 mmHg became 145.4 mmHg. On diastolic 106.9 became 90.2 mmHg. The results of this is research, there is a decrease in blood pressure in elderly and group gymnastics group walk on the elderly hypertension sufferers. It's just on a group of elderly blood pressure drop gymnastics is larger than the Group walk that small. Keywords: Hypertension, Gymnastic elderly, Walking, Blood pressure.

Abstract

Aging is a condition that occurs in human life, with increasing age a person's blood pressure will increase. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of Yoga exercises on blood pressure in women aged 50 - 59 years in Posyandu Lansia Kalijaten Sidoarjo. The design used in this study is the Pretest-Posttest Control Group. The sample in this study are 20 respondents according to the criteria set by the researcher, using purposive sampling technique. The measuring instrument used in this study is Sphygmomanometer. The statistical test uses the Independent Samples t Test with a significance value of p <0.05. The homogeneity test results showed that the systolic and diastolic variances in the control and experimental groups had the same variance with a significant level p <0.05. The results of two different test averages showed that there were significant differences in systolic and diastolic blood pressure between the control group and the experimental group. This can be seen from the p-value of the Independent Samples t Test <0.05. Based on the data, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of decreasing systolic and diastolic blood pressure, from category moderate hypertension to normal?high in women aged 50 ? 59 years in Posyandu Lansia Kalijaten Sidoarjo after practicing Yoga.   Keyword: Yoga, Blood pressure.

Abstract

Downhill (MTB) is an extreme sport that is increasingly popular, even experiencing a fairly good development. Downhill branches are aimed at developing towards achievement, this can be seen from the achievements of the Indonesian contingent who won 2 gold medals during the Asian Games that have just been held in Jakarta and Palembang in 2018. In competitions, especially downhill concentrations are needed which related to the reaction speed of the hand when passing downhill tracks. The purpose of this study was to determine how much the contribution of concentration and speed of hand reactions to the performance of downhill athletes. This research was conducted on 10 national elite / professional male downhill athletes in the 2018 Series 4 Indonesian Downhill National Championship in Wonogiri, Central Java. The method used is a quantitative correlational approach, while the data collection process is carried out by performing concentration tests, hand reaction speed and time records of athletes during the race. From the results of the study can be explained: Anova results state the value of Fcount = 5,640> Ftable = 4,74. It can be said that there is a significant contribution between the variables of concentration (X1), the speed of hand reaction (X2) together on the performance of downhill athletes (Y). From the research results obtained individually the concentration variable contributes the most to the variable performance of downhill athletes. Then followed by the reaction speed of the hand. For both independent variables, special attention needs to be given to improving training so that the maximum performance of downhill athletes can be obtained. The conclusions is : 1). Concentration variable (X1) contributed 61,62%. 2). Variable hand reaction speed (X2) contributed 49,98%. 3). Individually each independent variable, concentration which has a greater contribution and together all the independent variables contribute 61,78% to the performance of downhill athletes (Y) so that overall can be generalized into the population. Keywords: Concentration, Hand Reaction Speed, Downhill.
