Abstract

This article discusses about the difference between traditional and modern nahwu schools in studying of the Jumla (sentence). Jumla is a compound words because it is a combination of two or more words. Traditional nahwu schools agree that the jumla is any structure that fully benefits. The modern nahwu schools hold that the jumla  is all statements consisting of two principal things, the first is the earlier one and the second is the last part which has the function of statement or question and the other. The traditional nahwu schools divide the jumla  into two parts, the first is the ismiya and the second is fi'liya. The jumla ismiya consists of mubtada and khobar while the jumla fi'liya is composed of fi'il and fa'il. The division of jumla according to modern nahwu schools is the jumla basitho and the jumla murokkaba. The  jumla basitho consists of one composition only, while the jumla murokkaba consists of musnad and musnad ilaih. The  jumla ismiya can be defined as a musnad in which the form of words, phrases or compositions. Whereas if the musnad is a fi'il structure then it is called the composition of fi'liyah, either consisting of words, phrases or compositions.

Abstract

Learning kutub al-turats will become more interesting if it is carried out using various methods as implemented in school or madrasa. One method of learning to texts reading is SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review). This study aims to describe the kutub al-turats learning method at pesantrens in Salatiga and the implementation of the SQ3R steps in learning kutub al-turats. The data was collected with observation, interview, and documentation, while data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results of the study show that the methods used in learning kutub al-turats are classified into two types, namely the main and complementary methods. The main methods are bandongan and sorogan, complemented by other methods such as lectures, practices, kilatan, lalaran, bahtsul masa’il, setoran, yanbu'a and talqin. Pesantrens in Salatiga have not been maximal in implementing the steps of the SQ3R method in learning kutub al-turats. Learning kutub al-turats in pesantren should using a variety of methods without eliminating the bandongan and sorogan methods as the main methods. Pesantren should using the SQ3R method which is considered quite systematic in learning kutub al-turats. This method can be combined with the sorogan, bandongan or other methods.

Abstract

Abstract: al 'Arabiyah li al Nasyi'in is one of the textbooks in learning Arabic in Indonesia. This book presents the topic of Islamic and Arabic culture in an interesting and educative way. This book is interesting to be analyzed whether each subject matter is relevant to the language competence and the material conforms to the correct standards. This research is a literature research. The collecting data is using documentation techniques, while the analysis technique is using content analysis. Al 'Arabiyah li al Nasyi'in is a textbook devoted to non-Arab learners. This book is structured by presenting four language skills and  linguistic elements such as ashwat, mufrodat, sharf, and nahwu. In the existing material, this book presents several competencies that are: a) language competence, b) culture competence that is about Islamic and Arabic culture, and c) communicative competence that focus on  ability both oral and written in various context. Keywords: al ‘Arabiyah li al Nasyi’in,  Arabic Language, Textbook Abstrak: Buku  al ‘Arabiyah li al Nasyi’in merupakan  salah satu buku dars dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab di Indonesia. Buku ini menyajikan topik tentang kebudayaan Islam dan Arab secara menarik dan edukatif. Buku ini menarik untuk dianalisis apakah setiap pokok bahasan yang ada  relevan dengan kompetensi bahasa dan apakah materinya sesuai dengan standar yang benar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian literatur. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi, sedangkan teknik analisisnya menggunakan  analisis isi. Al ‘Arabiyah li al Nasyi’in merupakan buku teks yang diperuntukkan bagi pembelajar non Arab. Buku ini disusun dengan menyajikan empat maharah lughawiyah (istima’, kalam, qira’ah, kitabah) dan juga menyajikan latihan-latihan unsur kebahasaan seperti ashwat, mufrodat, sharf, dan nahwu. Dari materi yang ada, buku ini menyajikan beberapa kompetensi yaitu a) kompetensi kebahasaan yang fokus pada maharah lughawiyah, b) kompetensi tsaqafiyah yaitu tentang budaya Arab yang Islami, dan c) kompetensi ittishaliyah yaitu kemampuan berkomunikasi baik lisan maupun tulisan dalam berbagai konteks. Kata kunci: al ‘Arabiyah li al Nasyi’in, Bahasa Arab, Buku Teks
