Abstract

Economic growth is an indicator of a nation's development as indicated by a regular increase in output and is influenced by several factors, including human resources, capital, and technological developments. This study aims to determine the magnitude of the influence of education, technology, and foreign direct investment on the economies of five ASEAN countries from 2005 to 2019. This research is a quantitative study using the panel regression method, with data collection obtained through the World Bank website. The obtained data is then processed and tested through the classical assumption test, which consists of a multicollinearity test, a heteroscedasticity test, and a normality test; and hypothesis testing, which consists of a T-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination. Tests in the study used the econometric application program, namely Eviews 10. The findings revealed that the education variable, which included government spending on education and enrollment rates in secondary education, internet users, and foreign direct investment inflows, had a positive and significant effect on the economy as measured by GDP. Then government spending on education, enrollment rates in secondary education, internet users, and foreign direct investment inflows simultaneously affect the economy by 96.49%, while the remaining 3.51% is explained by other variables outside the regression equation.

The technique of analyzing data uses multiple regression with a supported by software SPSS. The resulth of the research show that : (1) number of MSMEs, Minimum Wage and investment had a significant affect simultaneously on unemployment rate (2) number of MSMEs had a negative and significant effect on unemployment rate (3) Minimum Wage had a positive and significant effect on unemployment rate (4) investment had no effect on unemployment rate. This is due to investment in Central Java Province which is concentrated in certain sectors that lead to capital-intensive industries so that investment does not have a significant effect on TPT.

The increasing need for housing encourages people take other alternatives, such as using Home Ownership Loans (KPR) as an alternative in obtaining housing. There are some factors that influence the community as consumers in taking / using mortgages, some factors include customer income, house prices, interest rates, down payments, loan terms, and the simultaneous influence of all factors.  This study aims to provide an overview of the factors that influence the demand for mortgage loans in Watubangga urban village housing in Kendari city.   The method used in this research uses descriptive quantitative, where this approach explains the phenomenon of the situation, measures the relationship and draws conclusions based on the use of numbers.  The findings of this study are partial factors that affect mortgage credit such as customer income, price of a house and time period are positively significant, which means that the increase in these partial factors increases the community's intention to take out a mortgage. However, it is inversely proportional to partial factors such as interest rates and down payments. Even so, the effect of these factors is simultaneously positively significant.
