Abstract

Kurangnya penalaran secara logis dalam pemecahan masalah, kurangnya pemberian alternatif solusi serta siswa kurang memakai sumber belajar sebagai bahan referensi menjadi acuan masalah dalam penelitan ini. Penggunaan model pembelajaran Logan Avenue Problem Solving (LAPS)-Heuristik dianggap sebagai salah satu alternatif. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memperoleh data dan informasi tentang seberapa besar pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis melalui model pembelajaran Logan Avenue Problem Solving (LAPS)-Heuristik pada pembelajaran IPS kelas VIII SMPN 1 Bandar, Kecamatan Bandar, Kabupaten Bener Meriah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif.Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII2 SMPN 1 Bandar yang berjumlah 28 siswa.Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan observasi dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang telah dilakukan secara keseluruhan siswa dapat dikategorikan baik perindikator yaitu sebesar 70 - 80% saat menggunakan model pembelajaran Logan Avenue Problem Solving (LAPS)-Heuristik. Hal ini dikarenakan ada beberapa  Faktor yang mempengaruhi  yaitu Siswa mengikuti langkah-langkah yang terarah dalammodel pembelajaran Logan Avenue Problem Solving (LAPS)-Heuristik yang terbiasa dalam pemaparan masalahsehingga dituntun untuk penalaran secara logis, memberikan altenatif solusi yang mendukung dalam pengembangan berpikir kritis siswa. Lack of alternative provision of solutions, as well as students using learning resources as Reference, so researchers use the Logan Avenue Problem Solving (LAPS)-heuristic learning model which is a model in problem solving, whereby these models can lead students to logical reasoning and this model should use learning resources as a problem solving in learning. The research was titled "The Development of critical thinking skills through the Logan Avenue Problem Solving (LAPS)-heuristic learning in the education of IPS class VIII SMPN 1 Bandar Regency of Bener Meriah".The purpose of this research is intended to obtain data and information about how much critical thinking ability through the Logan Avenue Problem Solving (LAPS)-heuristic learning model in the learning of IPS of class VIII, Regency of Bener Meriah.The study used a qualitative approach with a type of descriptive research. The subject in this study was all students VIII 2 which amounted to 28 students. The data collection techniques in this study are using observation and documentation.Based on the results of the data analysis that has been done overall students can be categorized as a good indicator of 70-80% when using the Logan Avenue Problem Solving (LAPS)-Heuristics learning model. This is because there are several factors influencing that students follow the directional steps in the Logan Avenue Problem Solving (LAPS)-heuristic learning model that is accustomed to exposure to problems so that they are led for reasoning. Logically, provide an alternative solution that supports the development of critical thinking students.
