Abstract

Infant massage will stimulate the vagus nerve, the nerve where it will increase the intestinal peristalsis to empty stomach, the baby quickly so hungry that food intake will increase. This nerve also stimulates increased production of digestive enzymes, thus increasing the absorption of nutrients. Nutrients are absorbed will participate in blood circulation also increased by sympathetic nerve action potentials. This study aims to determine the effect of Infant Massage (0-4 Months) against Improved Weight Infants In Public Healt Bontobangung Quasi-experimental research type approach Non-Equivalent Control Group or non-randomized control group design. Samples were 30 people with purposive sampling technique sampling.The results were obtained using two independent samples t test obtained value ρ = 0.008 is smaller than α = 0.05 so that Ho refused and Ha accepted which means no effect of massage with baby's weight gain. Suggested health officials need to do counseling, demonstrations and distribution of leaflets so that mothers are motivated to do massage on the baby, this can be done through activities poyandu.

Abstract

A hospital is a place where children often experience painful and unexpected medical procedures such as infusion that cause situational stress and anxiety that lead to unpleasant experiences for children. To reduce the pain, it is better to do non-pharmacological measures such as distraction technique. To find out the difference in pain scale when placing infusion in children who are given and not given distraction techniques in the emergency room of the Sultan Daeng Radja Hospital, Bulukumba Regency. This type of research is quantitative research, type This study used a quasi-experimental study with a non-randomized research design with control group design. The sample of this study were 36 children, divided into 2 groups, where the intervention group was 18 children, and the control group was 18 children. taken by a consecutive sampling method. Analysis of the data in this study used the statistical test of the Mann-Whitney test. Based on the pain scale when placing infusion in children in the group that was not given distraction (storytelling) techniques, there was the most in the category of very severe pain as many as 8 children (44.4%), while the group of children who were given distraction technique (storytelling) the most found in the category of moderate pain and severe pain as many as 5 children (27.8%). Based on the results of the analysis using the Mann-Whitney test, a significance value of 0.023 (p <0.05) was obtained. There is a difference in the scale of pain when placing infusion in children who are given distraction techniques (storytelling) with children who are not given distraction techniques (storytelling) in the emergency room of H. A. Sultan Daeng Radja Hospital in Bulukumba Regency.

Abstract

Family planning is an example of direct policy in the field of population control. Strategic intervention in safe motherhood efforts is expressed as 4 pillars namely family planning, antenatal care, clean and safe delivery, and essential obstetric services. The development of new media based on the internet has greatly influenced media consumption patterns in Indonesian society. The study used experimental quasi research designs with group pre-test and post-test designs. It used 100 respondents as selected samples using Purposive Sampling. The results of the statistical signed-rank test were obtained on average the knowledge of respondents before being given intervention with a leaflet of 9.76 while after being given intervention 16.34 with P value (Asymp). Sig. (2-tailed)) 0,000 where <0.05 so that it can be concluded that there are significant differences before and after respondents are given intervention with leaflets. The average value before being given intervention in the form of social media Whatsaap amounted to 8.54 while after being given an average value of 17.72 with an average value of 17.72 with P value (Asymp). Sig. (2-tailed)). Based on the results of the Wilcoxon statistics test sum rank test or commonly called Mann-Whitney u test obtained a mean leaflet value of 35.85 while Whatsapp social media amounted to 65.15 with a p-value of 0.00. This proves that WhatsApp social media has a greater influence in increasing knowledge compared to leaflet media.
