Abstract

This research aims at analyzing the influence of innovation on the performance of organizations with reference to healthcare industry. The influence on organizational performance by SC efficiency, supplier cooperation, innovation, and quality management practices (QM) has been shown by the research model. The structural equation modeling was used to test the hypothesis and proposed research model. The data was collected from about 243 hospitals. It has been supported by the results that there is positive association between SC innovation constructs and organizational performance. A significant influence is created by the innovative design of supply chain on QM practices, suppliers’ relation, and improvement of QM practices. The information was collected from a large sample of about 100 beds in the hospitals of Thailand. The sample size of hospitals may limit the result generalization. A useful information planning is provided by the study for healthcare sector. The research found that continuous improvements in innovation with the cooperation of supplier could result in the implementation of SC management successfully. This ultimately improves the performance of organization.

Abstract

This study explores the practices of supply chain and evaluation practices of supplier concerning the firm performance of automotive industry of Thailand. Data were collected from the managers of the supply chain and the production managers through a questionnaire. PLS-SEM is used to explore the association among the understudy variables. The results revealed that effective practices of the supply chain could increase the performance of the industry in the country. Similarly, effective practices of supplier evaluation also can increase the performance of the firm. This study suggested to the policymakers and the manager of the supply chain that they must apply only an effective SCM and supplier evaluation practices in the firm. These effective practices can only have the ability to enhance the performance of every process of the firm.

Abstract

The main purpose of the current study is to examine the supply chain integration, and product modularity as antecedents of the market valuation. The study is carried out on the supply chain of the solar industry of Thailand. The reason why the solar industry is chosen is that the greater emphasis on rising oil prices, global regulatory environment, and climate change resulted in increased adoption of clean technology processes. Over the next few decades, the solar energy would be considered as an important technology stemming from fast-paced innovation and huge technological investment. Being an infant industry, the solar energy supply chain is evolving rapidly with the entrance of new as well as already established firms. The study has used the SEM-PLS to analyses the data gathered from the firms in the solar industry. The findings of the study argue that the aggregated product modularity affects the supply chain flexibility and supply chain’s ability of delivering product variety, across the supply chain. Such aggregated product modularity, being an important SC construct, shows the product modularity of supply chain as a whole.
